Who Would Make ‘Melo’s Starting Five?
The other day, dubFrequency got up with ‘Melo for this 1-on-1 interview at the Ritz-Carlton in LA. While they talked about roadtrip essentials, what’s on his iPod and his favorite movies, the most interesting answer was who ‘Melo would run with if he had his choice. Before the question was finished, he responded LeBron, D-Wade and Kobe, but watch to see who rounded out the starting five…

JCARR says:
He would still hog the ball. He had the hardest time adjusting during the olympics. IDK how running wit LBJ and KOBE, D-Wade would change his mentality.

Dark Knight for sure one of the top 10 movies, saw it 3 times in the theatre, excited for the blu ray to drop

Melo’s game is nice and simple and he hasnt been stopped in his 5 yrs in the league and so its works a little defense and he would be a better all around player. the problem wit Melo is that his game is not all exciting with crazy dunks and so people tend to push him on the side because of that

Heckler says:
same as the olympic team aint it?
just started wade instead of jason kidd
this aint really no surprise.
who did you expect him to name as the 5th body?….mike olowakandi?

Heckler says:
melo’s game is overrated. he has become 1 dimensional. just a scorer.
he has the ability to rebound…but he doesnt. he as the ability to pass…but he dont. he has the athletic ability to be nice on defense…but he just lazy.
being a solid scorer doesnt mean you have a good all around game. it dont even mean your a good player. it just means you can score.
i dont see this clown winning anything unless he can learn to be a leader and go to another team where he doesnt have to be the man

mules says:
so who’s running point on that squad…D-Wade ain’t no point guard. CP3’s gotta get on that squad somehow…you probably drop Melo to do it though.

Brandon @ BB says:
@ Heckler - Have you watched Anthony play this season? He’s averaging 8.4 rebounds — career high. His defense has been solid too.

Since when do the FIBA qualifying games mean anything. They were playing against teams who dont mean anything. Canada without Dalambeast (if i remember correctly). Anyway you can send a bunch of college kids to qualify the USA bball team. Those games are meaningless, because they dont include elite talents such as Spain. Also, Coach K enforced more than ever the whole mentality of “team” the summer of the olympics, not the summer before. Carmelo is a talented selfish player.
