Andrew Bynum Destroys the Clippers

The only question after Andrew Bynum decimated the Clips for 42 points last night is whether DeAndre Jordan or Brian Skinner got it worse.

yeah he had a hell of a night, then again it was the clips with no kahman or camby. and his defense was a bit suspect. i mean jordan got 23 pts, 12 boards and 4 blocks on 11 for 12 shooting. i thought bynam was the next comming of hakeem from the way lake fans talk about his defense.

oh but wait im just a hater

    The clippers? lol

  6. caeubona says:

i’m waiting for all the haters who say that it’s just the clippers. and at the same time, i’m waiting for all the lakers fanatics who, based on one good game, will immediately declare that bynum is better than shaq, wilt, and russell COMBINED. LOL.

I think this game had to boost the youngins condfidence in a major way. I expect him to do more from here out. I think something might have been unleashed.

Sometimes domination of lil dudes can build ya swagga lol.

  8. mules says:

I would definitely say Skinner got it worse. Jordan was able to give it right back to Bynum for most of the night.

    Greg Oden gets got

  10. mules says:

well….maybe not “most of the night” but 23 points on 11/12 shooting ain’t too shabby, not to mention the 12 boards and 4 blocks. “NET” totals for Bynum 19 pts, 3 rebs, -1 block

  11. the truth says:

At least he (at least for one game) made himself worthy to be my 3rd round pick in my fantasy league. Damn disappointment so far.

  12. K Dizzle says:

I just hope this is the light comin on

  13. K.I.R says:

Shame he couldnt do a DAMN THING against D.Howard the other night.

Son is way too overhyped and maybe paid IMHO

  14. Smitty313 says:

Bynum needs to get stonger with the ball. He goes up soft way too much. There is never a time were I should ever see Andrew Bynum smack the glass for a layup. The Lakers throw him alot of lobs that he brings down instead of dunking. Andrew get back to last year were everything they threw was a dunk.

  15. JCARR says:

And the Clippers starting center was…. WHO?

Good to see Bynum drop 42, but he has proven he can score against anyone when he wants until he scores 40 or more against legit Centers

    @ post 13, 14, 15
Please stop hatin. Dude shot 17-24 from the field, had about 7 dunks, hit turnarounds, hooks and shot 8-11 from the freebie stripe and the posts are “too overhyped and overpaid, needs to get stronger and it’s the clippers?” You haters are ridiculous. Name another center who’s had 42 this season against whoever and I don’t mean Okur shootin 3s. I mean inside work. I don’t know which game was bein watched but the next time AB’s shot gets sent will be the first time. If you ever played ball, you know that you can’t dunk every lob and every coach will tell you to secure the rock, gather yourself, then take it up. Who cares if it’s a dunk? Dude shot 17-24 and haters still askin for more. Last I checked the Clippers are still in the NBA. When Tony Parker put 55 on the TWolves, heads were lovin it, not sayin he lit up Telfair.
This is why Laker fans gotta defend our team cuz even on a night when haters should have nuthin to say, venom still gets spit.

  17. Sanpitch says:

Funny that Mehmet Okur scored 43 a week ago and never got a clip like this.

Just goes to show that if you are named Andrew Bynum and play for the Lakers you will ALWAYS get the pub.

Come on Dime other players play in this league too!

  18. Sanpitch says:

    @ 16

Memo scored 43 points on 13-19 shooting, 3-4 from 3 point land, and 14-15 from FT.

Get off Bynum’s nuts and WAKE-UP!

  19. YO MOMMA says:

did anyone see that game last night??? there was like 35 dunks between the two teams. thats gotta be an NBA record. somebody look it up

  20. LakeShow84 says:

Yeah Sanpitch but he also didnt double (even though nine boards is close enough) and had ZERO blocks..

I think everyone is excited to see a CENTER for 40-15 nowadays.. And yeah its the Clippers but no one has beated them thus far..

And I think Kobe is ready to fall apart at the seams.. Dude is bout to be wrapped in ace wraps head to toe soon..

  21. LakeShow84 says:

Beaten them thus far like that with a center putting in that kind of work..

Wow that sounded real bad lol

  22. Kyle says:

When you have an opportunity, you take it. If you can get 42, why not?.. End of story.

  23. K Dizzle says:

    @ post 18

    What does that even mean?
I’ll take Bynum over Okur anyday. It’s funny how dudes shit on Sheed for livin on the perimeter but when Okur does the same, there’s props.

I’ll get off AB’s nuts when Okur scores 42 off post moves and dunks, grabs 15 boards and blocks shots.

Someone needs to wake up alright…

  24. Chris Cason says:

I never seen LO get so many dunks before.

  25. Jay says:

Just because Bynum got 42 against the CLIPPERS isn’t nearly as impressive as Deandre Jordan getting 23 (11/12) on Bynum and the Lakers. Bynum got a $58 million contract and can’t play both ends of the floor? Destroyed the Clips and got destroyed his own damn self too.

  26. Jay says:

Yet another example of Dime not watching a game and talking about it like they were sitting courtside.

  27. roy says:

    26 dunks last night

  28. Sanpitch says:

    @23
I am just answering your question, “Name another center who’s had 42 this season against whoever” from post 16.

Y’all are acting like Bynum’s 42 last night was the most historical moment in NBA history since Wilt hung 100 points.

I’m not trying to say I would take Okur over Bynum, I’m just answering your question of another Center in the NBA who has scored 42 points.

I am also making a point that it’s funny how Okur scored 43 a week ago and Bynum scored 42 last night and there is a big bias to Bynum. Bynum got this article and Okur got shit.

42 or 43 is a hell of a lot of points but because one person puts up that many points while wearing a Laker jersey it suddenly means more. I don’t care if you are getting your points from 5 feet away or 30 feet away, 40 points is 40 points.

Just get off Bynum’s nuts is all I’m saying. There are more people playing in the NBA then him and Kobe. I recognize that this is a Dime article and so it’s hard to see that, but there are other people playing in the NBA.
