Monta Ellis Practices
Monta Ellis went through a full practice with his Warrior teammates yesterday and says he felt no pain or swelling in his ankle and the only obstacle keeping him from taking the court in a game is his conditioning.
He also took an opportunity to address some of the drama that has been swirling about him and his relationship with his coach and the franchise:
“Listen,” he said, switching his tone from friendly to dead serious. “Whatever it is about me leaving, wanting to go, ‘I don’t want to play for Nellie’ — that never came from my mouth. I don’t know where they got that from. But I’m here for the next six years. I’m a Warrior. I’m always going to be a Warrior. Whoever put that out there, they did it because they wanted a story. I’m making it known right now. I’m a Warrior. I love playing for Nellie. I never said that not one time. So you don’t have to worry about that.”

We’ll see what he says after a few games of trying to get his shots along with Crawford, Jackson, and Maggette.
Good luck there, moped man.

The only way I see monta staying with G-State is if nellie doesn’t bench him. On the top of his game he is the most valuable player for this team.
G-state should get rid of everyone and start fresh with Monta and Biedrins.

Brown says:
This is great news. It won’t change the team’s fortunes for this year, but Monta will help. Their roster isn’t horrible, at least it isn’t one a good GM can’t fix. They have a lot of talent at the wing positions and not enough serviceable talent at the 4. IF Monta can handle PG duties, they just need to find a PF, a backup PG and maybe a SF who can rebound. With another high lottery pick, they should be have enough stockpiled talent to make a trade a-la Danny Ainge two years ago.
That’s what I’m praying for.

No their roster is terrible man. they have too much of the same thing and the sh!t aint working. they cant outscore opponents. yea they average 110 a night but damn they give up 120. at least when nellie was coaching the mavs the could outscore opponents. this team is terrible. monta, s-jax, bad porn, and crawford cant coexist on the same team. in order for them to get all their shots, their need a TSOL(three seconds or less) game plan which means they will play even less D. the need to get rid of some folks and actually get 2 real PFs and a backup C.
