Tony Parker’s game-winner

After getting worked over by Andre Miller for 47 minutes and 50 seconds, Tony Parker had the final say in last night’s Spurs/Sixers game. A certain Philly fan in the Dime office swears TP traveled before passing the ball to Manu. You be the judge…

nahh no travel…hey dime can u get the vid where the refs call LeBron for travelling for the first time against my beloved/bad wizards

  2. K Dizzle says:

    I don’t like the spurs, but that wasn’t a travel…

  3. K Dizzle says:

…in the NBA, FIBA, yes, but not the NBA lol

  4. Mister Sun says:

its the nba, they dont call travel here. as for lebron, did you remember the awesome reverse layup vs. the heat some games ago? travel, and no whistle. its not even basketball sometimes…

andre miller lost them the game with the bad pass and the bad defense.

the ONLY problem i have with this piece, austin you know as well as we do that TP didnt play that much defense on miller, more like mason jr got worked over, parker played defense early and as soon as millers size was becoming a problem, mason was switched over to him.

as for the travel, its a moot point as the spurs win, and you know the nba wants the spurs to win no mater what. there is no way that sterny would have let the refs call that, just like sterny made the 5 second call against the bucks the other night and he left it for TD to miss the layup

no travelling, two steps and thats it

  8. GEE...All ova the place! says:

    Parker never Plays D! lol

Tim plays D for him and Parker.

  9. Ross says:

Tony had just gotten called for a BS turnover on the Spurs previous (or two) possession. Even if he did travel (didn’t look like it from that angle), the refs wouldn’t have called another one.

  10. Inspiredworlds says:

Is that not the same exact play they ran against the suns to win the game? except this time manu was short and TP was able to recover. no travel btw.

basically its a clearout for TP, if anyone doubles/helps or he can’t get a shot off, TP dishes to one of their 3 pt shooters (Manu, Roger Mason, Finley, etc…). Everyone just has to stick to their man on D.

the NBA doesnt call travelling on the following stars:

lebron james, dwyane wade (who blatantly carries the ball and palms it with his big hands), chris paul (carries) and hibachi (when he’s playing).

manu ginobli doesn’t travel, he just uses extra long bunny hops (dribbles, takes two lunges and scores).

  12. heartbreaker85 says:

i tried to the ginobli’s move once in a pick-up game, almost blew my knee out.

  18. S-SiN says:

  19. S-SiN says:

    no travel

  20. Kevin Couliau says:

    Travelling, but crazy shot !
If you call this travelling you’ve to call all the travellings on Lebron and other players abusing the same way. NBA referee should use a little bit more their whistles cos” NBA game has an impact on Worlwide game.
Kids in the streets are copying their idols moves without understanding that if you do 3 steps it’s a travelling.
FIBA or NBA, it’s 2 steps not more.
