Top 10 Plays of 2008
I’m not gonna lie. Just like the NBA, I was out of commission yesterday. So with no games on the docket to write about, and the new year upon us, I figured we should take a look back at the Top 10 plays of the young season.
In your opinion, what’s the best? What’s missing?

DECEMBER 31–Following his arrest earlier today for drunk driving, Charles Barkley told Arizona cops that he ran a stop sign because he was in a hurry to pick up a girl who had “given him a ‘blow job’ one week earlier,” which the former NBA star described as “the best one he had ever had in his life.” According to a Gilbert Police Department report, a copy of which you’ll find here, police asked Barkley where he was going at the time of the 1:26 AM traffic stop in Scottsdale. “You want the truth? I was gonna drive around the corner and get a blow job,” answered Barkley, who is pictured in the below mug shot. A cooperative Barkley also joked with a civilian police employee that, “I’ll tattoo your name on my ass” if it would get him out of the DUI charge. Barkley, 45, was busted after failing field sobriety tests, and had blood drawn so investigators could establish his alcohol content. Barkley was cited for a misdemeanor charge and released at the scene, thus avoiding a trip to the Maricopa County jail.

wtf?
vince carter’s ice-cold buzzer-beating, reverse FU dunk AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF TORONTO should have been no. 1.
roy’s buzzer beater was nice, but not number 1 material. come on.

mules says:
didn’t Vince also hit a buzzer-beater 3 to send the game to OT before he had that buzzer-beater reverse dunk alley-oop to win it in OT…that shoulda been #1.
The Bellinelli over-the-backboard shot was a good one too.

I don’t think that Brandon “Mean Mugggin” Roy mean muggin the entire crowd is worthy of #1. It’s a great shot (though they only really show the mean muggin) but Vince killing my Raps on a harder play def deserved #1.
What was up with that Paul Pierce highlight? I might be missing something but that didn’t look good, guy made a fade away mid range jumper…how is that even a highlight?

Foye breaking Jameer’s ankles, literally
January 2nd, 2009 at 4:48 pm
BROGDEN says:
Nate’s dunk in traffic was CRAZY! But NBA.com missed the Jameer jawn…the in-game 360 by JRich on the break…and they missed the scene when Mo told Lebron “GIMME THE BALL” — then drained a 3, BALLGAME! ILLLLLLL. Yup, it was against the Wizards. Lebron was bringin’ it up. Mo was coming down the left side. You could hear someone saying something (it was Mo)…then you see Lebron just dished it to Mo like he was annoyed.
THEN MO BUSTED ONE HELLIFIED NUT ALL OVER THE Q! ILLLLLLLL (it put the score 89-88 Cavs with less than a minute left)
Mo hittin’ a big-time 3! As expected.
Mo yellin’ at Lebron to give him the ball. PRICELESS

Wow, Vince Carter’s dunk in Toronto was the best play.
Derrick Rose’s crossover on Andre Miller should have been a top five play, definitely.

I was watching the vid, and bout #6, I was like ‘where the hell is Roy’s dagger vs the Rockets’ and was about to storm the NBA office to punch the annoying ass commentator of the past top 10s (yeah, he didn’t call this one, but come on, who wouldn’t want to punch that guy?), when I saw the no.1.
All’s well that. That shot was THE shit. Holla.

Ricki Lutes says:
Happy new year everybody!
a combination of vince’s three and alley-oop against the blazers should have been #1
I would’ve swapped kobe’s alley-oop with the bibby to jj in-air alley-oop to marvin williams play
I also think they missed king james’ almost free-throw dunk
Much love from Denmark
