When Will Jose Calderon Miss?
Speaking of the Raptors, every couple weeks I ask the question, “When Will Jose Calderon Miss?” And despite everyone’s best guess and possible jinx accusations, the streak is still alive.
Through 31 games, Calderon has still yet to miss a free throw, going a perfect 72-for-72 from the charity stripe. Although he’s been out the past three games, when he returns, you know the streak is going to be on his mind as he quickly approaches Micheal Williams‘ record of 94.
How long can Calderon go without missing a free throw?

What a horrible picture of the guy, I watch a lot of Raptors games and didn’t realize he’s that ugly.
Guy could go for 100 straight, it’s not like he’s burning too much effort on D, so he won’t be worn down for them hard ass free throws.

Because people from Spain look funny…duh.

Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (Chris Anderson) was one free throw away from matching the free throw record percetage many seasons back. Calvin Murphy (record holder) was in the crowd courtside (in Houston) and the refs let him touch the ball before mahmoud got to the shoot the free throw. Mahmoud ended up missing the free throw. But the whole situation was fucked. The record belongs to abdul-rauf. Here’s an article talking about how the fix might be in for Calderon. They will do you dirty in Houston.

The Spaniards were conquering the world and your civilization was nothing but land guys..Maybe they look funny because you think the American dude is the standard model for everything.
Sam Cassell is ugly as shit, Kaman looks like a fucking cave man and Greg Oden is someones grandfather but hey, I don’t think American ballers are funny or whatsoever.

Calvin, I saw that game with Calvin Murphy and dude was just joking around. If u know Calvin, u know he’s a clown and hypes everything up. Dude’s an entertainer. I’m sure if Rauf made it, Calvin would have still shaken his hand or done something funny. You making a big deal out of nothing.

What’s the record for consecutive FT to start the season? Is it 94 or was that in the midst the season?

Chris Jackson is right. I wasn’t talking about birdman.
@14
I’ve been looking for a youtube or google clip and can’t find a damn thing. I’m almost positive Murphy touched the ball before mahmoud shot. Even if he didn’t (which i still think he did), the article I linked above tells of murphy dancing around and putting a hex on the ball. I’m not sure if you’ve ever had had a hex put on you, but it’s no fucking joke. There was no way the ball goes in after that. That record belongs to mahmoud and the nuggets.
