What is so good about this commercial? I must have missed it or something. Young Jeezy don’t look young at all, he should change his name to “Greg Oden Old Jeezy”.

BTW, why is Jeezy a spokesman for Adidas? What does he have to do with shoes and/or the selling of shoes? Would someone actually buy a product because they seen some random old guy wearing it?

otto says:
wait, hold on. Wouldn’t this commercial violate the NBA’s anti-gambling policy.
while the commercial is a fictional portrayal of a poker game, do you think the NBA will turn a blind eye to one of its cornerstone basketball players betting recklessly at a poker game?
Don’t get me wrong, I love the commercial. I am Just speculating.
Does anyone know where I can find the NBA anti-gambling rules and regulations?
One.

Big Shot BOB says:
@ otto…NBA guys bet on everything they can think of. Michael Jordan was famous for betting he can make certain shots. On the team plane it’s usually cards. They have gambling rules but only against betting on games.

I liked it…Wasn’t a good shoe commercial, but people are pushing lifestyle and brand over product…I think that is a good move.
I’ve been more of an Adidas head lately anyway…

Kobe’s broke ankles is better for the pure humor. KG vs Jeezy commercial is alright, just gotta understand the meaning behind some of it.

jonny taise says:
pffft! “best commercial” you’ve seen in years??!!
it was quite ‘disjointed’ in my opinion.
January 29th, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Hugo says:
Hmm … Looks like you are not watching good commercials in the last few years … This one is good but has nothing special. As some said before, Kobe’s ankle insurance is better.
January 29th, 2009 at 8:46 pm
Dodge Taylor says:
Aron, c’mon now … I respect your work, basketball and poker are my two loves, but even I didn’t think it was that great an ad!
Gimme Bird and MJ back in the day, gimme Timmy & Spike … hell, even LJ and Grandmamma was better than this.
From a poker point of view, obviously neither of them can actually play. Stop splashing the pot!! How much did you actually bet?? (Ha ha ha, couldn’t resist)

Damn, Aron got an opinion. That’s whack.
The ankle insurance commercial was worse. Or better. Whatever y’all guys think.

Clearly this isn’t comparable with Lil’ Penny, the McD’s “Nothin’ But Net” or even the Fun Police, but after I got done watching this, I didn’t even realize it was a commercial. It was well done.
