Clip of the Day: Lil Wayne Interviewed by Katie Couric
I know, I know this has absolutely nothing to do with basketball…BUT, This has been on the internet for a few days but I finally got a chance to see the whole interview and I had to share it with all of you guys. This interview is one that will be talked about for ages. At some points Wayne shows he is way more intelligent then one might initially think.
Then at some points Weez seems kinda creepy. Almost uncomfortably creepy. Still, through the whole interview Couric seems like she really is into what Wayne is saying. Like she is really into it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they popped up dating in a few months. You should got on Youtube and watch the whole interview if you have time. Classic material.

I interviewed him right after the first “the carter” came out and he was so down to earth.

Read between the lines. The lack of love & discipline from his father crushed him as a youth. He had no one and no where to turn to for acceptance and affirmation so he entrusted his heart to anyone that took an interst in him…which happened to be Baby!
I don’t entirely blame Wayne for his “persona”! That’s how he was raised. He’s clearly hurting, but the people closes to him only see “Lil Wayne” and not Dwayne Carter.

Wayne does make some hot songs occasionally, but the drugs done f’d his brain up, and you can tell in the interview that he’s not normal.

He contradicts himself way too much. I think he’s been putting up a front for so long, even he doesn’t know who he is anymore, cuz I certainly don’t. Dude is completely out of touch with reality.
I’ll never understand what his appeal is. His songs never make any sense, he’s just rhyming words line by line. I don’t listen to much of his music because every time I’ve tried I have the same reaction, like “what the fuck is this guy rapping about?”
