karizmatic says:
lol that’s not a crab dribble, that’s a lobster dribble. Or better yet an octopus dribble. But I guess you would have to travel 8 times for an octopus dribble huh?

and he has the nerve to argue with the refs after that call…what is he telling them? : “i just travelled 6 times and commited a foul and you blow your whistle? are you retarted?”

Prof. TX says:
They knew it didn’t matter because it was Magette, was going to turn it over anyway. It’s like trying to figure out if Shaq’s toe was on the three point line, it’s not like the shot is going in.

djKianoosh says:
this is really bad.. i thought they said they would clean this up a couple years ago.. I remember reggie miller and allen iverson would do this all the time. one time, AI got the ball a good 2 feet under the 3 point line, and by the time he was done adjusting his pivot feet, yes feet, he was completely behind the 3 point line. LOL i love AI, but dang, that’s just wrong.
are the refs taught to look at the defender instead of the feet? there has to be an explanation for this
February 11th, 2009 at 10:27 am
Jah says:
LOL @ Prof. TX!
That was some horrible officiating right there, though.

Mamba says:
Wow! That has to be one of the worst cases I have ever seen. Forget the crab dribble that was a full on shuffle! LMAO at him taking down the opposing player and then looking to the ref for relief! Sometimes I feel like traveling in the NBA is similar to holding in the NFL, they really could call it a lot more than they do.
But thats a close second to the biggest sham of the night; which was without a doubt the pair of fouls called on Granger and Bron. That ish was crazy! Way to let the players play at the end.

Crazy, the worst part is seeing the Ref stare at him the ENTIRE time and not call a thing. Watch the slow mo and focus on the ref’s head, he watches it develop right in front of his face and calls nothing??? WTF?!?!

kevin k says:
yea the nba reffing is terribad but, if they called every single play, the game will seriously last 3-4 hours.
Also for you haters out there… it’s really difficult to officiate. I help ref some rec leagues and trust me, stuff goes by way too fast for you to call everything and that’s a rec league. think about the speed of the nba… 1 way to fix this is have more than 3 refs where some are designated to check only the players feet and stuff but…

dagwaller says:
Hahahaha classic. I agree that calling every foul would make the game last forever. It’s like in football – you know that holding happens on EVERY play, but unless the ref is right there looking at it, no use in getting upset about it.
Speaking of football, why are there like 10 refs on the field for that, but basketball still only gets a few?! Can’t we get one dedicated travel guy or something?
