I can’t believe how many hoops fans still don’t appreciate Kobe. I called total BS though that he didn’t know he broke the record. I suppose maybe he didn’t know for sure his exact total, until Jackson pulled him out but I highly doubt that. Either way, that was a fantastic performance.

look you can hate kobe all you want, he raped a white chick, he’s a ballhog, he’s a bad teammate in the locker room, but if you are a basketball player or fan, you cannot say anything against his talent. he is the best player in the world right now, and one of the best to ever play the game. if you know anything about basketball, you have to agree. im not talking about his personality or his morals or his ethics, hate those all you want, just keep in mind that is better than you and anyone else you know.

Wow and the haters keep coming, everybody that came after M.J. took some part of their game from him get a grip everybody thats hatin on kobe should stick to playin Live and 2K9 cuz you dont hoop. If you play anytype of basketball and you see what kobe does on the worlds best players everynight then you should appreciate his greatness. Hes a living legend just deal with it.

I understand Mike D’Antoni’s hesitancy to double-team Kobe as long as the score is close, because Kobe is so adroit at finding open Lakers for layups or easy jumpers. However, when the verdict was decided in the fourth quarter, the Knick coach’s attitude should’ve been, “Not on my watch!”

Everything possible should’ve been done to take the ball out of Kobe’s pan-seared hands in order to preserve Bernard King’s Madison Square Garden 60-point record.

At the same time, padding his stats in a meaningless fourth should be beneath Kobe – and Jackson. What if his franchise player severely injured himself while taking out the garbage?
