After I wrote yesterday about the newest member of the Thunder, I tuned in eagerly to their game last night against the Hornets to see who it was going to be. Entering the Ford Center from the ceiling a la Pat Croce, Rumble the Bison made his debut.
Rumble played the drums, performed with the trampoline dunk team, danced with the Thunder Girls and closed his halftime act by climbing a 16-foot ladder. Rumble stood on the top rung, then back-flipped. The dunk rimmed out, but his athleticism was evident. Read More »
LeBron isn’t backing out of his All-Star Weekend announcement that he’s entering his name into early consideration for next year’s dunk contest. But if he’s going to take part in the festivities, he wants the rules and regulations cleaned up.

With the economy being in a fragile state, there was talk around All-Star Weekend that NBA GM’s were making better offers to Portland for Raef LaFrentz‘s expiring contract than for Amar’e Stoudemire. And now, there’s one big offer on the table for Raef’s big deal – Vince Carter.
Sources say the Blazers and Nets have discussed a deal that would send Carter to Portland for Raef LaFrentz and his expiring contract along with Travis Outlaw and Sergio Rodriguez.
