   this was the greatest intro i have ever seen! tonight was shaq’s night. good for him, ppl were ready to write him off and he wins co-mvp with kobe( which deserved it as well). I dont think the nba can “script” things and tell lebron and other players to let kobe and shaq compete for the mvp, thats just nonsense. Stop your whining. If you are a real fan of basketball you enjoyed this weekend. I know I did.

   There is some intrigue behind how the vote was awarded and why Kobe and Shaq split the honor. The media accounts for 75 percent of the total vote, which in this case was nine out of 12 votes. The final three votes came as a result of fan voting, with the top vote-getter earning two points and the runner-up getting a point. Alas, Shaq won the media vote 5-4 over Kobe, while Bryant claimed the fan vote as O’Neal finished second (2-1 Kobe). That gave both players six votes in an almost comical twist of fate.

   of course kobe was going to win the fan vote(it hurts doesn’t it?) and shaq the media(what a BIG surprise)

Shaq is ALL STAR, thank god al jeff didnt get in over shaq (shaq earned his way in), the man is the best the nba has in terms of sheer entertainment…his game tonight was awesome as well, just 11 danm minutes and he was all over the place…and the between D Ho’s legs…classic, u could see dwight talkin smack then he went ‘oh’ when he realised he was gettin creamed…love shaq and when hes gone…i dont want to even think about it

    I think Shaq’s part was freestyle too and for him to still pull off that with the group as a big man is just ill.

    A one point while Shaq is gettin it, I think they are holding up the Omega Psi Phi sign which is Shaq’s frat. That was just double ill.

    I wish they would have let each player come out and do something with the Jabbawoks.

    man i would have to agree with a lot of you and say that shaquille really did make this allstar pretty memorable. he’s hilarious.. ive always liked him.. not just cuz hes a good player.. but hes funny. hes got 1 more year left in him he said.. but lets not make this his last all-star game.

    to be totally honest tho.. i was chanting co-mvps before the game was over. of course i thought shaq and kobe deserved it.. but i was also thinkin cp3.. wut he have? like 14 pts.. 14 asts.. 1 to? i think he deserved it too.
