Where Does Bob Huggins Rank?
Watching last night’s video tribute to his days in Cincinnati brought a tear to Bob Huggins‘ eyes. Though there were some mixed reactions among the fans, there’s no doubt that Huggy bear put together one of the greatest runs at a single school, bringing the Bearcats program to prominence from 1989-2006. Last night, back in the building where he won the majority of his 616 games (one of four active coaches with over 600 wins), Huggins was honored as one of the greatest coaches in the game today.
Where do you think Bob Huggins ranks among the greatest coaches?

If we talking about active coaches… he is one of the best out there. He can recruit and his team always plays their heart out for him. The only problem with Huggs is that he doesn’t graudate players. Thats his only problem….but again if we are talking about active coaches the list should go….
Coach K
Roy Williams
Calhoun
Pittino
Izzo
Calipari
Huggs

A great coach. Wasn’t he fired because there was a photo of him partying it up with college students?? Whats wrong with that? College kids are pretty much an adult…
Add Jim Boeheim to that list of yours Dee.

Gotta agree with Dee on this one. I do think Huggs has been vastly underrated.

I think it’s a little too early to put Jay Wright and Jamie Dixon ahead of Huggins. Let’s see those guys make it to a Final Four first or make 14 straight tournaments like Hugs did at UC first.
I whole-heartedly agree though that Calhoun, Boehim, and Pitino rank ahead of Hugs due to longeviity and the rings.
