This morning a reader sent us this video of Grayson Boucher aka “The Professor” knocking down an absurd back-to-the-basket half-court shot. What do you think? Real or fake?

Totally fake. The ball is not in the air for nearly long enough. A shot from the key on the other side of the court would hang in the air for at least another split second.

The ball pretty clearly accelerates about half way through the air. Plus, skinny ass dudes like that can’t flick there wrists and rocket a ball across the court.

totally fake. watch the ball change trajectory and speed about halfway through. also, dude’s face doesn’t even wince or anything as he tries to heave the ball. his skinny ass would need to do a lot more than just flick it to get there.

This is an insult anyone over the age of 10. I don’t think there has ever been a video, more obviously fake, whose validity is in question by a somewhat reputable site.

For starters, the ball only accelerates 1000X midway through its trajectory when it’s GOING AWAY. Sigh, Dime. You guys are better than this. Well, maybe not.

Fake…and for the record, there are TONS of these types of videos out there with names like “AMAZING TRICK SHOTS” and such. And they’re ALLLLL FAKE!!! I want to know how it’s done cause lots of them look MAD real and no one’s calling them out! They’re all fake.
