Did Dwight Howard Foul Paul Pierce?

Immediately after the play, the commentators said it was a brilliant block and a great no-call. Do you think that Dwight Howard fouled Paul Pierce at the 1:55 mark of this video?

  1. Celticsdada says:

Yes he did. From this video camera angle you cant see much, but i watched the game on Comcast NE and it was clearly a foul. However we sure knew the Celtics are not gonna get any calls on the road, and just like Lebron star treatment Dwight “fake Superman” Howard doesnt foul. Everrrrrrr!!!!!! I hate how inconsistent the NBA is

  2. @dam says:

cant tell from low res vids

  3. iain. says:

Hurry up with Smack, i’m getting restless.

  4. tmacbnumba1 says:

no. quit fucking complaining and tell celtics queer and Paul Pierce’s ass to quit bitching too. John Hollinger’s dime had an interesting statement in it: in Boston, that woulda been a foul, but not anywhere else in the league, specially in Orlando. so the league needs to stop pampering the boston faggots like their NBA royalty

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! number 20 coming soon for the “defending champs”

  5. tmacbnumba1 says:

PS. Kyle Montgomery is the biggest most annoying guy on NBA.com, along with whoever the girl is. SHUT THEM THE FUCK UP! dime, seriously this is the 3rd time im asking you as a media outlet to reach out to the execs running NBA.com and tell them to yank Montgomery and the girl. their annoying as shit. bring back Rick Kamla and let the commentators of actual games announce the top 10!

  6. Celts Fan says:

Yes, Dwight clearly fouled him with the body, BUT you’re never going to get that call against a superstar (and most of the time, won’t even against a nobody) in the last possession of a game. It happens…

  7. Celts Fan says:

As long as they’re consistent with it, I have no problem w/ refs swallowing their whistles for the last possession for anything that’s not egregious.

  8. E$ says:

I wouldn’t try that in Boston

  9. mosduff says:

I hate to interrupt this meeting of the great minds in basketball but Pierce said this in the Boston Globe today:

“I drove to the hole. The way the game was being called, I wasn’t fouled,” Pierce said. “I should have taken the short jumper. Dwight made a great play on the ball. It just put us in a bind after that.”

Few players in the league will man up like that.

Now I’ll give the forum back to the stimulating and intellectually satisfying comments of the great “tmacbnumba1″

  10. rell says:

It was foul but it was a good no call. Like CeltsFan said, I wouldn’t make that in the last possession of the game.

  11. yoda says:

ofcourse it was foul. plus, they should have taken him out of the court in wheelchair.

  12. Semantik0 says:

I havent seen the video, and didnt see the game, but ill go ahead and say CLEAN BLOCK!!!!!!

  13. ilovehaters says:

Good no call…but we all the know the playoffs and the regaular season are 2 different worlds in the NBA. KG playing limited minutes, and the Celtics lose a close one on the road to a good team. No way the magic beat Boston in a series, with or without home court.

  14. LakeShow84 says:

    LMAO @ Yoda..

  15. dwightlovekg says:

Meh, who cares, they’re both making it to playoffs anyway.

  16. Ashlov says:

Looks like Dwyane Wade ran into the building and fouled Pierce.

  17. srb says:

if it was Gortat or someone crappy he would’ve gotten the call.

above poster who said orlando wouldn’t win a series is accurate. neither lewis nor hedo could really guard garnett.

  18. method526 says:

couldnt really tell. it looked like pierce kept fading right to avoid getting blocked.

  19. Haqq says:

Well atleast the refs are consistent and being inconsistent

  20. Big Aaron says:

Wah wah, Celtics had no KG. I forgot about the “losses without KG” column. Orlando has no all-star point guard. Remember that much.

  21. doc says:

No foul.Dwight beat that shit up.The Truth said it himself.Ladies and Gents your 2009 Defensive player of year.

  22. Ross says:

No foul. The view wasn’t great, but Doc Rivers wouldn’t have had such a blank look on his face afterward if it were a foul.

  23. James Singleton says:

TMacbnumba1 YOU ARE A COMPLETE IDIOT! KYLE MONTGOMERY IS THE BEST COMMENTATOR ON NBA.COM! ARE YOU KIDDING SERIOUSLY DUDE? THE STUFF HE SAYS IS CREATIVE AS HELL AND FUNNY! STOP BEING A HATER. KAMLA WAS GOOD BUT MONTGOMERY IS THE BEST. YOU CAN SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT THE GIRL….IM NOT ARGUING

  24. Leonard P. Sullvan III says:

I have to agree with #5. Kyle Montgomery is ANNOYING AS HELL!!!! He has to overly describe every single thing and add the cheesiest lines like – “Off the windex.” Who says that? If I hear his voice commentary; I mute the sound – seriously.

  25. AB says:
