Don Nelson Wants to Experiment With the Warriors

Golden State Warriors

Don Nelson says he’s going to experiment with his lineups of over the final 19 games of the season in an attempt to mix things up a bit.

I know, I know. I thought the same thing – “Isn’t that what Nellie does pretty much every night anyway?” Nelson’s lunacy with his lineups is well documented, so what will real experimentation look like in the Bay? Read More »

Tex Winter: “I See A Lot of Warts On This Team”

Kobe Bryant

I have no idea what a “wart” looks like on a basketball team, but from the sound of it, it’s not good. And when something negative comes out of Tex Winters‘ mouth, even Phil Jackson is listening.

The mastermind behind the triangle offense doesn’t think that the Lakers have been playing nearly as well as they could be, and is worried about how they’re going to fare over the home stretch.

This is why Larry Brown gets paid a lot of money

Charlotte Bobcats

Honesty time: I absolutely thought Larry Brown to the Bobcats” would end in disaster. And not just “Terry Porter to the Suns”-level disaster, but something even more epic and salacious. And while there’s still time for things to go wrong — and LB’s recent track record clearly allows room for skepticism — at least this season has turned out better than a lot of people expected. Montana State Is Officially On the Map

In this case, it was absolutely necessary for Montana State’s Will Bynum to stare-down Weber State’s Daviin Davis right in the eye and scream as loud as possible at him…

LeBron and Wade’s other race: Defensive Player of the Year

Dwyane Wade

During last night’s Cavs/Clippers game, the L.A. announcers were wondering aloud how many NBA records LeBron James can break before he’s done.

All the records are unsafe with LeBron at the age of 24,” one of them said, right before bringing up the Holy Grail: Kareem‘s all-time scoring mark of 38,387 points. Read More »

There’s nothing like some good ol’ corporate inspired beef, best settled over a rousing game of H-O-R-S-E…

LeBron’s Escape from L.A.

The end of Cavs/Clippers was equal parts unbelievable as well as completely, comically predictable. Dominating LeBron and crew from the get-go, L.A. led by 14 at halftime, by as much as 19 in the third quarter, and by 17 going into the fourth. But even with the Clips’ announcers ready to celebrate (“This is fun!” one of them blurted out in the second half), you just knew The other Six was going to drop eventually. Read More »

Lamar Odom Suspended One Game

odom_30_071

We all knew that one was coming. Lamar Odom will miss tomorrow nights game against the Rockets. Trevor Ariza does not look like he will be suspended and will actually probably get the majority of Odom’s minutes in his absence. Funny how the world works sometimes right?

Warriors Release Marcus Williams

Marcus Williams

Although Marcus Williams hadn’t played in a game since January 25, when I saw that the Warriors finally released the seldom-used guard today, all I could think was this: What a waste. Read More »
