And that guy killed Russell in head to head match-ups, but Russell had teams that were way better. Wilt probably avg like 40ppg and 20rpg against the Celts and Russell. The only problem was that the Celts were a loaded team (I wonder why?) and Wilt only had a few other players on his teams (the warriors/sixers). I am aware of the history of the game, but I am also a realist. With the talent Bill Russell had, he would be a Kenyon Martin in today’s game. MJ in today’s game…. would avg 40ppg (as he did in the 80′s with 37ppg and 35ppg but with hand checking and much more stellar defensive play.
