Dahntay Jones Goes For the Golden Sombrero
In baseball, the golden sombrero is when you go 0-4 with 4 strikeouts. Dahntay Jones hasn’t yet accomplished the basketball equivalent of that in a single game. But he came close last night. First, he picked up four fouls in less than six minutes. Second, he finished “-9″ on the game, tied for the worst of anyone on Denver’s roster. Third, he caught this dunk from Trevor Ariza.

great defense by melo.
seriously now, he got better on defense, but he still isn’t the stopper people make him. he cant really stop dribble penetration. but of course he looks great against kobe, he cant drive anymore.

@Dime, Man I thought for sure you all would have an article up on Mark Jackson’s comments from last night. That the NBA logo is in need of an update, and that J.West should be replaced by M.Jordan. I am about to lose a bet now, thanks!

when you watch the slo-mo you can see the momentum swings Ariza’s cock up and it just taps Dahntay on the chin.
A “tip” tap, but it happened
RIP Dahntay’s dignity

In response to #1: I thought Melo tried hard on defense yesterday, which is already a big step. He’s gonna be a beast on that end of the court if he keeps trying like that. Either way there’s not always that much you can do against a killer crossover.
Ariza is insanely underrated by the way. I wish there was some way for the Raps to get him . . . .

Ariza’s shaping up to be a nice #2 for Phil. He keeps progressing, and could turn out to be the Pippen-type cat we all need in LakerLand.
But if DFISH don’t stop ACTIN’ A FOOL…I’ma smash my television I SWEAR!
Ok I’m done talkin’ about DFish for today.

Another great Katz article.
Anyway, Dahntay Jones has made over $6 million in his career and starts for a team in the Conference Finals. I’m sure he still has plenty of dignity.
Oh, and his team won the game.
