Meet Dream Team 2016

USA Basketball

Other than perhaps winning an NBA title, there is nothing better than USA Basketball (as evidenced by Team USA’s gold medal run last summer). While there’s the NBA All Star game, there really are no other events that allow the best players in the world to grace the court at the same time. That’s why I was so excited to see that USA Basketball announced the 21 top young prep talents that have been named to the 2009-10 USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team yesterday.

Training will be June 6-12 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. before the 12-member team that will represent the U.S. this summer at the inaugural 2009 FIBA Americas U16 Championship (June 17-21 in Mendoza, Argentina) will be announced. Head over to High School Hoop, where they’ve got the roster. With five prep ballers from the Class of 2012 and 16 who are set to graduate high school in 2011, this is the future of basketball.
