Any excuse to put a picture of Candace Parker on the Dime site is a good one. Yesterday Parker gave birth to her first child, a 7-pound, 6-ounce baby girl. If you didn’t know that Shelden Williams is the father, we hate to be the ones to break the news. But it’s true.

What better way for the Nuggets to put the kill shot to Dallas’ dome than, with just under a minute to go in last night’s Game 5, Kenyon Martin spiking a VICIOUS alley-oop finish (via J.R. When this post started, it was going to be an open love letter to Chris Andersen, letting everyone know how excited I was to see him coming back for Game 5 and finish up the series. Before the NBA season started, I wrote a piece titled, “Rajon Rondo Deserves A Long-Term Deal.” At the time, people thought I was crazy. (I’m serious, read the comments.) But look who’s laughing now. After GM Danny Ainge exercised Rondo’s $2.09 million team option for next season, I jokingly wrote that “Rondo will have to wait another year to buy that second home.” With that in mind, check out his first one…
