A First Glimpse at the Nike Air Max LeBron VII

It’s been a big week for the Cavaliers. First a Shaqtus was spotted blooming in Cleveland and then the drafting of Danny Green and Christian Eyenga and now pics have surfaced of the next shoe in the LeBron James signature line. Here we have it, the Nike Air Max Lebron VII.

Right off the bat this shoe is a very big contrast from previous LeBron’s, as Nike has implemented a full length visible “Air” unit, while all other LeBron’s featured “Zoom” cushioning. Maybe its just me, but it’s kind of weird to see a pair of Lebrons with Air in them. Also it appears Nike is in love with their Flywire technology as they’ve incorporated it into these as well as almost every other basketball shoe they’ve released in the past year or so. Design wise the shoe really reminds me of the Nike Air Griffey Max II’s. Unlike other LeBron’s these are supposed to be very light. The LeBron VI’s were great ball shoes, but they almost had a boot-like feel to them.

No word on release or pricing at the moment but expect these to start seeing shelves once the season ‘09-10 season begins. For more pics head over to Kixandthecity.com

Excellent point, they do look like those Griffeys, that’s the first thing that came to mind. Unlike the Griffeys, I don’t like these, though… to me, a big step back from VI. I have to see more colors.

When it comes to Nike technology it may seem gimmicky but it really does serve a purpose and Flywire is no exception. It’s super sturdy yet still really flexible (if that makes sense). Also every pair of kicks with flywire on ‘em are light as hell.

Maybe they will look better in other color combinations.

The flywire is hella lightweight but it creases after a certain point, not an issue with the zoom kobe 4’s but it’s uncomfortable in the hyperdunks. Hopefully the hypermax has fixed that issue for next season. The new Bron soldier 3’s are clean, especially the ones with the white straps and icy blue soles.
