Jonny flynn has changed the college game forever with his play in the 7 over-time game vs. UConn. He is the best thing thats hammend to the T-wolves in years.jonny flynn has been dominating at the college level. Rubio? What has he been doing? Hes beating people in Europe its differnt in the NBA. He should just stay in Europe where he is good enough to be a star and then he wont have to wine about who he got drafted by.

Thankyou Dime!

"You guys got drafted right along with me" ... really Jonny, cause no one's contacted my agent yet?! I haven't seen my contract from the T'Wolves yet.

I'm a point guard too, so it can only be a matter of time before the Wolves offer me a deal too! LOL

This really adds fuel to the Rubio trade rumour fires. So, according to Johnny, his agent told him before the draft that the Wolves drafted him and Rubio with the intent to trade "one of us"? That is very interesting.

If this is true it restores some of Kahn's credibility. It sounds like he took a chance in drafting Rubio that he could land an elite player in a trade.

I still don't see that many teams that want Rubio badly enough to give Kahn an impact player. Most likely trade candidates?

1. NY: Obviously the Knicks want Rubio BAD but they really don't have much to offer. Next year's first round pick? Probably not worth it if it ends up being John Wall. David Lee in a sign and trade? The Wolves need a Center so that makes some sense and Lee fits with their young core.

2. Toronto: Toronto is not a contender in the East with the current core (even with DeRozan...who won't make an impact for a year or two). Toronto might be tempted to blow things up to get Rubio. That said, they don't have much to offer the Wolves. Bosh? They already have Jefferson who does the same thing and actually has a better low post game.

You know, when you look around the league there really aren't that many teams who seem like they would be hot for Rubio.

Forget it, Kahn screwed up royally. Unless he can trade Rubio to the Knicks he is screwed.

I really think the Wolves have zero intention and had zero intention of Rubio being on their roster. I don't exactly get the leverage move drafting him and then trading him though.

I see your point, of how he's already established in Europe but at the same time the NBA is taking a leap of faith on Rubio as well. We have a guy like Flynn who despite his amazing talent doesn't appear to have a big head and doesn't even appear angry about the fact that they chose Rubio over him or that there are 2 young PGs on the Wolves. This has been his dream since he was a kid to get drafted and it just happened. He's just thrilled to be on a team and have a chance to play in the best League in the world.
Rubio on the other hand, is borderline acting like a spoiled kid, who's let the fact that he's been fawned over since he was 14 get to his head.
On the Twolves we have a great young big man in Al jeff and a very young team with no real guard pecking order established. A young PG would be essentially inheriting a team by coming to Minnesota (as long as he can outdo bassy). and this is viewed as a punishment these days? Minnesotas cold but he's acting like manning the helm of a young team is like being sent to the gulag.

My point is: at this moment in time Flynn is coming off to me like a Point guard a team could depend on. No matter the situation. A guy and doesn't mind a less than ideal situation.
Rubio's entering the League almost taking things for granted and that bothers me. I hope Rubio comes to the Wolves but if he forces a trade I will have lost some respect for him.

Happy for Jonny Flynn. Nice guy, good situation, even better attitude. He's gonna make a difference.

That said, I can understand Ricky Rubio not wanting to play in Minnesotta. The guy has been a pro baller since he was 14 years old. He's not wide-eyed because he's made a lot of his money already, knows what it's like to be a pro player and have chicks following him around. He has his own place, his own Nike contract, his own cash, etc. You're asking him to start over in a place he doesn't want to be in. Now why would a pro baller give up the pro baller lifestyle just to start it over again in too-cold Minny?

It's not about the money. If I had a the money, the hype, the things, in a city that I liked, why would I go elsewhere if I didn't want to? Rubio looks like a young surfer dude or a teen actor so if I were him I think the coasts wpuld suit me better.

Jonny Flynn has made all of us SU fans proud and I wish him great success. Sure, we'll miss him, but he's made the right decision for himself and his family. With his positive attitude and inate intelligence, I think Jonny is gonna do great in the NBA.

Thanks to Dime for these video blogs.
