Knicks Could Choose Gerald Henderson Over Tyreke
If we infiltrated the Knicks’ war room in Westchester and found their wish list, it would definitely have Ricky Rubio and Stephen Curry right up at the top. But who is the next guy after those two? Conventional wisdom would have said Tyreke Evans as of yesterday afternoon. But according to the NY Daily News, the Knicks would actually take 6-5 SG/SF Gerald Henderson over ‘Reke.
If Memphis guard Tyreke Evans is available, the Knicks will likely choose between Evans and Duke shooting guard Gerald Henderson. The Knicks, according to a source, are leaning toward Henderson. The 6-foot-5 Henderson wowed the Knicks during his workout two weeks ago. They like his athleticism and his mature demeanor and believe that Henderson can step right in and make an immediate impact.
“Think about it, he can do for the Knicks what Raja Bell did for (Mike) D’Antoni in Phoenix,” said one Eastern Conference GM. “He’s a big time athlete that will get better offensively and he will give the Knicks some defense.”
How would the Knicks’ faithful react to that choice? As much as they might need a perimeter defender in their nucleus for the future, fans don’t want to see teams go after that type of talent with their lottery pick.

Y even comment on the Daily New’s draft coverage? Mitch Lawrence is the worst nba beat reporter in media. In his mock drafts he openly states things like “they need a point, have only worked out points, but I like Jordan Hill”, “the blazers have had sucesses with Spanish players, so they’ll probably draft another” REALLY??? His logis is flawed badly. The other day he had James Harden going like 13 to the pacers for god’s sake lol He thinks he’s a GM or an insider, when he’s neither. Just a confused, over his head journalist.
