Kobe: “We Gotta Forget About This And Move On”
I love this. I don’t know whether Kobe a) is actually as grumpy as he seems, or b) truly believes what he’s saying. But I don’t care. Even if it’s all some sort of maniacal act, this press conference has officially made me believe that he would kill a drifter if it meant winning the ‘chip.
The best moment of this 7-minute interview has got to be when someone off camera starts their question with a “Hi Kob…” right around the 4:15 mark, which Kobe meets with an approving nod. Then the camera pans right and it’s a Lakers Rastafarian.

I don’t deny that Kobe has the desire but this act seems fake to me and I’m a Lakers fan. That Lakers Rastafarian is LA sports radio personality Vic the Brick, a super Laker homer. Even for a Lakers fan, he’s over the top.

@16…you are so right. The man can do nothing right…except win. The man has 3 rings, and even that’s not good enough. There are hundreds of current players hungry as hell for ONE ring, and he gets hated on for ONLY having 3, and for having Shaq on the team that won those three. No one hates on DWade for this reason, no one hates on Tony Parker for only winning rings with Timmy. It’s so odd the hate that’s generated towards this player.
I love his determination. I love that at this point he is all business. I love that he has so much to motivate him, even 13 years into his career. I love that he is on his way to his 4th ring, and nobody can do anything about it. I love that he is STILL the best player in the league. I love that Lebron is so close, that Kobe has to still try to elevate his game to stay on top, and he does it. I love this game.
