The League is reviewing this today to decide if it warrants a fine, suspension or downgrade. It doesn’t actually look all that bad until the final slow motion replay at the 40-second mark – then it looks suspension-worthy. How will the League rule on Pietrus today?

I doubt they will suspend him really. But I won’t be surprised or pissed off if he does get the boot. Micheal made a bonehead move in the final minutes of a certain loss.

One point about that should be made though. Orlando had given up, and it was obvious no one was going to foul to stop the clock. 3 secs left, Pau coulda held onto the ball and not dunked it through…which I’m sure is why MP dropped the hammer on him…he was pissed.

But all in all…it’s be a shame if MP got suspended. He’s been at least reliable for the Magic.

The League should suspense Pietris and the whole Magic team for that performance in the dying moments of the 4th quarter. They turned what would have been a dumb play call by the Lakers (taking the ball in from so deep into their back court) to a genius play. They should have fouled Trevor Ariza the moment he touched the ball. Have them shoot the free-throw; even if Trevor made both shots, the Magic would have been up by one and have possession of the ball. A really dumb play and Jameer Nelson is dumbest basketball player, ever!

Freakin OUCH man that was seriously uncool. Peitrus said in an interview he loved Pau and they have played alot in Europe. Well I am quite sure the feeling is not mutual after that. That wasn’t a hard foul that was a temper tantrum.

I am not going to second guess the refs, they do quite enough guessing on their own. But I will judge Peitrus and that judgment is as harsh as his strike to Gasol’s back. I hope the Frenchman realizes that is what people well likely remember of him from the NBA Finals. On a personal level that is an epic failure for a player, his one highlight a cheap shot.

If the Magic feel at all like the fans its likely the very reason Orlando has lost. You don’t stop in the NBA finals, and you sure as hell don’t show mercy. This is a place where no mercy is your only hope.

Of course the only way the Orlando Magic could truly know that is with experience…
