I understand MP’s reasoning here– wearing Kobe’s shoes when you are guarding him is pretty tacky, like wearing a band’s t-shirt to their show– nobody wants to be “that guy”.

That said, now that he’s made the change every lakers fan in the world will be shouting “IT’S GOTTA BE THE SHOES!!!” in unison every time Kobe scores on him (myself included).

Plus the dude is wearing Jordans. Do you remember the all-star game where Kobe played Jordan? The guy has spent his whole career emulating Jordan and trying to be better then him, do you seriously think homie is going to let a guy who swapped his Kobes for Jordans beat him??? Come on now, this is just gas on the fire for Kobe– everytime he looks at MP’s feet he is going to get more motivated.

Hell no he shouldnt rock those..come on now..how is that gonna look…Kobe steps out on the court and looks down at his feet and see he’s rocking his shoes…hes going to chuckle and then son him and drop like 40 on him..all because he knew THAT OTHER GUY wasnt good enough to have his own show so he wore a pair of Kobes!!
