NBA Rumor: LeBron and Bosh Plan to Play Together in 2010

During the Redeem Team’s run to gold, LeBron emerged as Team USA’s ring leader. From an outsider’s perspective, he, Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Carmelo and Dwyane Wade seemed like the closest clique.
But maybe we should include Chris Bosh in that too. Despite LeBron’s memorable shit-talking to Bosh’s girl, there’s a rumor that ‘Bron and Bosh want to play together in 2010.
“The inside source says LeBron and Bosh have plans to end up playing together,” writes Roland Lazenby on his Twitter feed. “Will Shaq interrupt those plans? Prolly not.”
“My source on the Bron/Bosh connection is a veteran NBA coach. Says that’s the belief among key coaching staffs. Sorry if the info upsets u.”
Lazenby, who is an established sports writer having written more than five dozen books, mainly on basketball and football, doesn’t allude to a location where the two might unite. Shaq won’t be under contract in Cleveland in 2010-11, so it doesn’t really matter if Bosh is worried about playing alongside the Diesel. If LeBron wants Bosh and not Shaq, that’s what he’ll get – and there won’t be any problems.
Hypothetically all three guys decide that they want to play in Cleveland beyond 2010. Shaq would have to take a monster pay cut. If LeBron signed on for roughly $25 million a year, Bosh wouldn’t be able to sign a max deal in Cleveland unless they replaced Boobie Gibson, Delonte West and maybe even Mo Williams with lower-paid players.
There’s no doubt that this rumor will also spark some LeBron-and-Bosh-to-New York talk. If the Knicks are able to get rid of Eddy Curry and Jared Jeffries, they’ll basically have completely clean books in 2010. That way, they’d both be able to sign monster deals in NYC.

Chicago, Golden State and Portland have the most pieces if Toronto is going to trade Bosh. LaMarcus is a poor man’s version of Bosh, so far, but they would have to sign and trade to keep him around (expiring in 2011).
LA, Sergio and Pryz for Bosh in a sign and trade?
I can’t see the Raps letting him walk and getting nothing in return.

Lebron’s a fool if he thinks Bosh is the sidekick that he needs.

Just a Fan says:
Despite shouting in the huddle and clapping his hands, I think Lebron was mistaken by the media to be the leader of Team USA. I could have sworn when the game was on the line in the gold medal match, Kobe was the leader, the man, and the one who took all the clutch shots. Lebron did have some monster rebounds playing center. Monster rebounds to a monster layup…that isn’t enough to be a leader in my eyes.

i think how its funny when players sign monster contracts take up almost a 1/3 of their teams cap space and when their team cant sign them any help, they are wondering why! like if lebron and Bosh are in New York, who else will be there, if theyre cleveland, same thing!

@just a fan, ya kobe and kid were def the leaders while melo and wade did most of the work. Lebron was just the biggest name.
@TJ, I always wondered that myself, its like players don’t understand….Thats why this hedo junk is annoyin me. He could get paid max and go to a bad team or get paid alil less but STILL BE RICH and stay on a championship contending team that just went to the finals. But hes gonna take the money and bounce…Thats why dynastys are rare now days, people weren’t jumpin teams like this back in the day and now EVERYONE thinks they worth max money.

George W Kush Sr says:
I agree with TJ also. It’s amazing how stupid players look when they’re crying for better teammates but their own bloated contracts are the main obsticle.
If Lebron signs for $25M, that’s be pretty stupid to me because I’ve heard the cap is supposed to go as low as $50M-$55M, so how’s your team supposed to sign 14 good players with $25M-$30M ? And with Lebron’s marketability he can make as much if not more per year with endorsements and other business ventures so why fuck up your team for 6 or 7 Million Dollars per year?
$18M is still a shitload of money to sign to and that gives your team more to play with. And really, the extra $7M is about $4m after taxes, you gotta pay atleast 10% of the $7M to your agent so that’s another $700 000 out of your $4M so you’re left with $3.3M, is it worth fucking up your team over that?

CB4 isn’t worth max. money, so that’s a moot point. Max. money should be reserved for franchise players, which Bosh is definitely not. At the most, CB4 is a decent sidekick to a superstar. On any other team in the league, Bosh wouldn’t be an all-star and I hope he realizes how good he has it in Toronto.

NC says:
This may sound insane … but I just heard from a reliable source that Wade and Bron are going to head up North to Toronto in 2010 right after Bosh makes the decision to head to NY. Turns out Bosh is a sore loser at 2K9 and Dwaybron totally want to stymie him to avenge embarrassing vid defeats at the hands of the Ru Paul of the NBA.
CRAZY I know!!!
