The night was going well and the drinks were coming fast. James, my man, seemed nervous. He had been fidgiting with his bow tie all night and wiping his brow. I could see him at the drinks table, pouring us champagne. I was about to ask him what the problem was, when suddenly there was a huge SMASH, and three ninja's slid through the shards of broken glass from the skylights. Everyone screamed, we were all running, shots were going off everywhere, i ran for the exit, but suddenlt i froze. Shit. James. This is what he was nervous about. This explained it all. The parrot on the way here, the new toilet seat in the apartment. Of course.... I ran back into the function room. It was entirely empty except for one body lying bloody over the drink table. 'JAMES!!!!' i ran towards him. 'Swe... Sweet...' he spluttered 'Its okay sweet its my time...' He reached limply over to my hand, placed something in it, and clasped my hand around it. 'Never forget me Sweet... Never.... Maybe *cough cough* you should commermate me with a t-shirt....' and then, he was gone. 'Sleep well, my friend' i muttered. I looked to my hand in which he had closed. It was the the cork. the cork from the bottle of champagne. i turned it over, and on top of it chipped surface it read.....
