lance-cover-1

For weeks we heard that we’d have to wait until after Lance Stephenson‘s June 29th court date was settled to get back to the recruitment business. But there’s a rumor circulating before his sexual assault case is adjourned in court today that “Born Ready” will be headed to Cincinnati.

Who Knew Nick Calathes Was This Good

Nick Calathes

After back-to-back championships, you might say that the Florida Gators haven’t been playing too well for the past couple years. But you definitely can’t say that about Nick Calathes. Despite not seeing him play in the Big Dance, Calathes could very well be the best player picked in the second round. Read More »

Ron Artest and Chad Ochocinco Go At It on Twitter

artest_21_02

Real_Ron_Artest isn’t actually Ron Artest. It’s a genius tweet platform from guys at Style Points Blog, who say all of the outlandish crap that you wish Ron-Ron would say publicly. But it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that someone who tweets “King of Pop, Farrah Fawcett, Billy Mays…bad week to be black, female, or have a beard. Oprah better watch her step” isn’t actually Ron Artest.

Well, Chad Ochocinco didn’t quite see through the pranksters. Read More »

Two more teams get in the Rubio mix, and Jennings talks reckless

Ricky Rubio

Apologies to Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, Corey Brewer and anyone else who planned to get a serving of easy buckets in Minnesota, but with each passing day it’s looking more and more like Ricky Rubio won’t be suiting up for your squad. (Forgive Jonny Flynn and Sebastian Telfair if they’re not as upset about it.) Rubio skipping the Wolves’ rookie introduction press conference was the first bad omen, and this weekend was flooded with talk of the Knicks putting on the full-court press to get Minnesota to give up Rubio since he’s not exactly eager to play there. And yesterday, more reports surfaced that Rubio is getting offers from other pro teams in Turkey and Spain. Read More »

Amar’e, T-Mac, Beasley all tied to Memphis trade rumors

Hasheem Thabeet

If you were running the Grizzlies, what would it have taken for you to give up the #2 pick in last Thursday’s draft? In other words, just how valuable is Hasheem Thabeet? According to the Memphis Commercial Appeal, the team fielded a ton of offers on draft night, some of them involving All-Star and borderline Hall of Fame talent. Phoenix proposed a deal that would have sent Amar’e Stoudemire to Memphis for the #2 pick and Rudy Gay; Read More »
