There’s More To The Draft Day Kobe IV’s Than You Think

With Kobe celebrating ring number four last week in Los Angeles, Nike decided to pay homage to the day that made Kobe a Laker by releasing the Draft Day Zoom Kobe IV’s. Except they made one fairly serious error – they put the wrong date on the heel. June 26th, 1996 was the day that the Charlotte Hornets selected a 17-year old Kobe Bryant with the 13th pick. However Nike released the shoes with the date “6-11-96” on the heel.

The “Wrong Day’s” are on sale now at Eastbay and as soon as they’ve sold out, the “Right Day’s” should be hitting retailers.

Just as trading card screw-ups end up being worth more than the correct version, the “Wrong Day’s” are bound to be a collector’s item.

   Sometimes they do that on purpose just so they sell like hotcakes. Either way, it’s too much money for a pair of shoes in my opinion.

   The day they fucked up Sixer history.We had Kobe in our back pocket since 9th grade and by the time he got to 12th he was already killing pros and we pick fucking AI.He was the truth,but fuck that I seen Kobe in 9th grade in Sonny Hill I was in like 5th 6th grade league and he was killing college league for 15-20′s and giving high school league 50′s.it was him and four okay white dudes but he was doing Mike shit then.
