One of my boys from Philly sent me this video earlier in the week with the message, “How have I not seen this yet?” That’s a great question – whether you love Allen Iverson, hate Allen Iverson, or are indifferent about Allen Iverson, you should watch this video. It was apparently shot last week, and it’s made the rounds on YouTube and Bill Simmons posted it the other day, but check it out if you haven’t seen it yet. who cares. He’s been a cancer to winning since G-Town. He can take a sh!ttyt team to the playoffs, but only if they base the entire offense around him shooting off screens 25 times a game. Sure he has talent, but his attitude (Saying he would retire if he was ever less than the #2 option on a team) is a cancer to any team trying to win/contend for a title. He’d fit perfect in NY though, for entertainment value alone.

Iverson reminds me of one the guys that you see at the par, Y, rec league, etc. who says what you want to hear (teamwork, playing defense, passing, etc.) but winds up following his own agenda and wrecking the team. Cats like that may be cool people otherwise with but you don’t throw with them if you want to win. He may not be a bad guy, but you’re asking for drama if you throw in with him.
