Jordan Crawford Dishes on “The Dunk”

LeBron got the tape of Jordan Crawford’s supposedly spectacular cram on him terminated. But he forgot to have someone keep the videographer quiet. That dude, Ryan Miller, opened his mouth and this story turned into a national headline. If I were Miller or Jordan Crawford, I’d stay mum on “Tape-gate” so that LeBron’s crew doesn’t do to me what they did to the tape.

In Lebron’s rush to suffocate what? A week’s worth of hype? A youtube clip?

He’s now made Jordan Crawford into a legend. The kid that mysteriously dunked on Bron.

It may have been just a little one handed cram… but now that Bron’s done what he did…it’s a WHOLE HELLUVA LOT MORE.

  2. bliz289 says:

i agree with Zo - if you play defense, sometimes you’re going to get dunked on. it’s not a big deal.

  3. dk says:

  4. nerditry says:

Not one supposed basketball “journalist” (looking at you Dime) has gotten a response from Bron’s people or Nike?

Jesus, put the squeeze on them or are you worried about losing access?

  5. dk says:

i hope that’s sarcastic. because if it’s not, you guys are completely owned by lebron. who is lebron james? why are people suppose to be afraid of him?

if anyone wanted to bring him down, they could. the internet is a powerful place.

nike is powerful, but just one really bad story can hurt him so bad.

get over yourself. that kid or the camera guy can say whatever they want. i guess, now i know why you guys are so afraid of lebron and always kissing his behind.

  9. dk says:

@7 So would you say your major problem is reading or writing? ;)

  10. Duke says:

Spike Lee needs to get his hands on the tape if he wants Bron in NY.

  11. deeds says:

breaking news, dk is a douche and noone gives 2 fucks what he has to say

also, you did in fact call yourself an asshole, as you were the artist responsible for post #5

  12. dk says:

@11 Im glad to see you mastered reading comprehension. Dont be mad because David Lee sucks either bro, it aint my fault!

  13. dk says:

  14. mauro says:

lebron is a loser, until he can lead a team to the promised land, he just gonna be the next charles barkley, all bark, no bite.

  15. Big Freeze says:

I heard that Jordan Crawford jumped from the foul line, did a 360 windmill and crammed it with both hands while his scrotum firmly slapped Lebron’s face.

  16. dk says:

@14 Yeah, and saved three lives mid jump!

  17. Big Freeze says:

Naw, I heard that this Crawford kid jumped from half court, and while in the air he did a 1080, between the legs, over the head, then bounced the ball off the shot clock, scissor kicked Lebron in the skull, got a BJ from one of the cheerleaders, caught the ball, and then crunked the shit on Lebron’s bloody face. Then the backboard shattered and the roof collapsed on LBJ.

  18. Big Freeze says:

I just ate these new flavored almonds by Blue Diamond - Halbenero BBQ - and they were on point.

In case you didn’t know, salt n vinegar almonds by Blue Diamond are indescribably good, especially when you’re blunted. One of the top three munchy foods, right next to jalapeno cheddar Cheetos and peanut butter Twix.

  19. karizmatic says:

LOL….well Lebron got dunked on LOL

  20. fiyaman says:

@ big freeze …sunflower seeds and dorritos

  21. SayItAintSo says:

I don’t know why…because I don’t like chinese food or japanese food when I’m straight…but when I’m skyin, potstickers are my fix but I’m definitely on board with the jalapeno cheddar cheetos when I’m high. Ish almost makes me believe in god…talking divine intervention, it tastes so good.

  22. dk says:

Reporters aee surfacing that there was a shooter in the 12th row, he holds the Lebroter film.

  23. mules says:

Jordan Crawford’s reputation is expanding faster than the universe.

  24. Jeff says:

    nike is saying this:

“Nike has been operating basketball camps for the benefit of young athletes for decades and has long-standing policies as to what events are open and closed to media coverage. Unfortunately, for the first time in four years, two journalists did not respect our no videotaping policy at an after-hours pickup game following the LeBron James Skills Academy,” Nike spokesman Derek Kent said on Wednesday.

and heres a longer interview crawford did with espn:
    http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4316358

  25. Dennis Castro says:

I heard that those guys were filming 20 mins prior to the dunk, so basically the Nike rep is full of ish. If that were really the case, they would have grabbed the dude’s camera well before the dunk. It’s not that hard to spot TWO dudes with cameras in their hands while the rest of the guys are on the court.

And I hope that last line about Crawford being quiet was a joke too. What the hell is Lebron really going to do? Put out a hit on this kid?

I’m glad Crawfords getting some shine from this at Lebron’s expense. The “King” finally has his crown.

  26. JHUSTLE says:

dam lebron needs 2 quit frontin and just let the tape come out. Everybody who plays real defense will get dunked on sometimes its just part of the game. I still remember in the bulls/sonics finals when gary payton took Mj straight down the paint and smashed on him one handed nasty style. U think Mj cared? hell no he came right back at payton and well u know the rest. Point is Lebron, its a kid whos rep is nothin compared to yours so just let it go. Thats sum female as$ sh!t u pulled homeboy u need 2 get ya swagga back

  27. Chrystal K. says:

    It’s really not that serious.

  28. gigi says:

hahahaha this kid kills me. thats awsome for him man.

  29. ? says:

i read a comment after that longer espn clip of crawford that lebron needed to come to the rucker and play against real ball players. Lebron played in nyc one time at i.s.8 in queens and he scored one point which was a free throw and was guarded by charlie v for that game

  30. poloredd007 says:

if lebronze would have did a monster dunk that drove the crowd wild….espn would have been showin it… you tube would be blowin it up…..the way lebronze acts when he dunks on someone u would think he would be a better sport…he’s a real jackass and poor sport

  31. analord says:

Ditto @ #24 - Although it seems like an excuse, technically the nike spokesman is right. LBJ Skills academy is a nike-sponsered event, meaning the whole gym is now conducted in a private sector. And in such environment, Nike can do WHATEVER they want, BECAUSE it’s now a private sector (being funded by Nike, no less). I remember taking a course in college discussing this kind of thing….one example used then was doing anything anti-miller at Miller Park in Miwakee.

I’m not sure who starts this video-gate thingy, lebron or nike. I mean, everyone can get dunked on in a game, be it playing defense or being in the wrong place and the wrong time…obviously someone’s really concerned about this and feel the need to have to shut it down…this really seems like corporation move more than anything…

  32. knock knock says:

umm analord that is not an analogy at all. The report ALSO said that the cameraman followed all the rules and had the credentials to get in. Nike said that because it was “AFTER HOURS” that there was no video allowed. Too bad that in the interview with the camerman, he said it was during the afternoon and the video was taken only AFTER lebron got crawford’s nuts in his mouth.

Only reason that is explainable is that it’s a “coincidence” but is it??

  33. analord says:

Ahh, thanks knock knock. I’m in my train of thought too deep that I missed out the real important info…the ”after hours” explaination is bull…so clearly lebron and/or nike wanted to shut it down for whatever reason…
