  1. Jason B says:

Why do you guys Ride Lebron so hard? Lebron should not be number 1, no way. Have of the plays in there were better than that play. It’s only because it’s Lebron that you put it there. KOBE!!!

  2. Orlando Jones says:

Lebron’s shot is the best irrevelant shot ever

  3. nola says:

wtf? lebron’s shot is number one? i can think of a million other plays that were better than that. freaking brandon roy’s shot was so much better. ok fine lebrons was in the playoffs, but there were so many other game winners in the playoffs that were better than that! bulls/celtics series!? man the countdown was really good until it got to that spot..

  4. Ashlov says:

I’m surprised it wasn’t a video of Lebron pooping.

  5. Gerard says:

D Rose crossing up Andre Miller.

That Celtics-Bulls playoff series (especially the play that ended up with Noah cramming it on Pierce).

  6. miamiVIS3 says:

No, really notable omissions but 3 and 1 should be flipped the only reason LeBron’s shot cracks the top ten is that it was in the playoffs.

  7. Rafa23 says:

where are the layup and the freethrow lebron hit in december against the bobcats?

  8. Reno Hightower says:

Weak number 1. Roy’s was much better.

  9. BRUCE says:

Where is the Lakers vs Pacers game, Kobe basket over Jarrett Jack with 3.3 and the Pacers won via tip-in.

Where is Derek Fisher heroics? Those shots are legenary!

  10. BRUCE says:

    Legendary!

  11. w says:

Devin Harris’ was the best. Kobe’s was pretty close too though.

  12. Rafa23 says:

    @bruce
weren’t that 2 different games? the kobe shot and the murphy tip in?

  13. the cynic says:

give me a break with that Lebron crap. That wasn’t even the best play of the series. Devin Harris should have been number 1, or D-Wade

  14. Mac22 says:

Lebron shot #1? Who decided that??

  15. Jeffco3 says:

did the nba seriously think lebrons shot was number 1?
    gotta be kidding me
Big baby davis had more playoff game winning shots than lebron did before he hit that shot haha

but noah cramming on pierce was pretty sick!
    should have had that one

  16. Dime Magazine says:

    @Jason B and others

We’re not riding LeBron. As you can see, this is the NBA’s Top 10 plays…

  17. Rafa23 says:

I think everybody understood it was from the nba except for jason.

  18. NL says:

Devin Harris’ shot is pretty remarkable given that he bobbled it and just flung it up. where’s the defensive love?

I’d include Manu’s block on Wade in the top 10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QiR0t7rw7g&feature=fvw

    or wade’s block on lopez.

  19. willsmithismydad says:

roger mason jr’s christmas present to everyone in san antonio?

  20. Warren The Lurve God says:

How the fk is LeBron’s play number 1? That was shit. I’d place Rudy’s play (10) higher than LeBron’s shot….fkn eh.

  21. KT says:

The title CLEARLY said it was the NBA’s top ten, not Dime’s. But that being said, D-Wade’s steal and running three point game winner…was number one.

  22. oohbz says:

let them make their own top ten plays then..geez

  23. Chise says:

I gotta go with the D-Wade play.. it should of been at number 1

  24. mv3 says:

wade got robbed again huhu. 1st the mvp now this come on!

  25. Andy says:

    Hey Dime Mag,
This may have been made by the NBA, but the criticism can be sent your way as well for posting it on your site. If Dime disagrees, make your own and don’t deflect the negative comments to the NBA.

  26. JT$ says:

#10 was weak, but Kevin Harlin is awesome. Bosh got PWND by Tyrus, but nothin like J.O. Kobe’s good. “OH NO…devastating…” GG Raptors. Devin Harris is geih. Where’s Iggy’s gamewinner vs. Orlando?? Please come back home next year, Dwyane. LeBron, obvi.

  27. SwedishMooze says:

Not a fan of the buzzer beaters, except when they mean something and LeBron’s did… for a while anyway… gotta otherwise give Tyrus, Rudy and the Heat trio love for the most entertaining plays.

  28. kareemA says:

    B. Roys’ poster on Cheikh Samb?// Miami’s hustle involving D. Wade, Michael B, and D. Cook?

  29. Sanpitch says:

How Devin Harris’ play wasn’t #1 is what is wrong with the NBA! NBA has to have their MVP #1.

That Devin Harris play would be in the top 3 this decade. That was just SICK!

  30. bobby stew says:

Iverson’s dime between Grant Hill’s legs and Rose crossing up miller should have been on there. Kobe’s circus shot over Howard in the Finals should have been top 5 and I don’t even like Kobe.

  31. Brado says:

Lebrons 3 was nice but not #1 nice…..hell no! B-Roys 3 was way more incredible!

  32. gigi says:

what should of number 1 was the kobe shot. the tyrus thomas play was pretty sick too hahaha. and no, the lebron play is def not the top play. shit i like lebron as much as the next person, but the nba/handlers etc catering to the guy a bit toooo much.

  33. doc says:

It was a lot of plays better this year that aint on here, but this list aint bad.The countdown dont matter yall nobody gets a trophy calm down.

  34. heartbreaker85 says:

    #6 was just nasty.

just coz its vc. at the buzzer. vs the raptors. in canada. with a dunk and a face that says FU.

  35. C'mon says:

I just knew this would be somewhere between 5-10

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTsFSYUN1ZI

  36. danny says:

“And number one we have.. Lebron hitting the game winner to prevent a sweep by the magic!!!!!”

  37. flavur says:

D-wade’s running three was way better than lebron’s three pointer.

  38. ShowKase says:

What I learned from that video:

    - Buy season tickets to Trailblazers and Heat games.

    - Any game against Toronto will get you at least 3 “play of the year” highlights. Poor Raptors.

  39. ferrel says:

dwyane wade #1 and iverson full court bounce pass is missing where it went between the legs of grant hill, and the tyrus thomas dunk should be taken out because we see those posterisers everyday on national TV

  40. Ian says:

harris , wade and tyrus were my top three get lebrons crap out and put manus block in.

  41. Jay says:

LeBron’s and Kobe’s were both highly overrated

  42. Lee says:

WHAT?! Why is Roy’s shot is much better than LeBron’s!

  43. knock knock says:

Lebron’s buzzer beater wasn’t even contested from turkeyglu. JESUS JUMP FOR THE DAMN BALL!!! glad the magic got rid of him. If you say vince carter has no defense, you havn’t watched Hedo…

  44. Mart the Swede says:

Leave it to my raptors to be on the wrong end of two plays in the top 10 of the year. Plus, with Turkoglu eating that Lebron buzzer beater that’s almost three on our head. Thanks a lot.

Anyway, enough with the worship of Lebron, Nba! At least half of those plays were more exciting than #1, not to mention Manu’s block on Wade that NL linked to.

  45. sh!tfaced says:

We know one play better than that No. 1. we’d all want to see, and it wasn’t even in the NBA. But it still involves LeBron… LOL

  46. Tim says:

    devin harris got robbed!

  47. Just a Fan says:

Devin Harris should be #1 since unlike the other highlights, can’t really be duplicated (as easily). Lebron’s shot was nice but it should be ranked next to Brandon Roy’s is and lower than Wade’s steal to running 3.

NBA/Media and whoever thinks Lebron is the best player in the world when he hasn’t achieved anything yet is crazy. Maybe when it’s all said and done he will be. For now Lebron is just a very good beasty player.

  48. Pedro says:

Number 1 is weak. The NBA really does love to sell Lebron.. That’s the easiest shot of all shots. there’s no pressure. If he misses nobody talks about that. They would talk about the coach calling that play every time..

Look at Fisher against Orlando. His 3 point shot, didn’t had pressure either. It’s a shot they have to take..

Of course it ain’t easy to score. But any one of us, any person who played basketball knows it’s an easy shot, you have to take.

  49. bballking says:

awesome compilation!! Although I must say, I don’t agree with the order in which the clips are placed.

  50. JustPuked says:

#1 was about #17. PS, they LOST the playoff series. No wonder Le Bron can’t keep himself from being dunked on, the media is busy riding his jock.

Kobe’s “great” play was total selfishness. Not that impressive when stacked against game winning shots, and team work.

BTW, Tyrus got dunked on by Randolph then tried to return the favor and got OWNED. More impressive than dunking on the fossil, Jermaine No’Knees.

Wade comes out looking like the a total stud in these highlights

  51. Pepe says:

How are they not going to include Noah’s dunk on Pierce. I would’ve thought that’d be top 5. And yeah, Wade’s 3 in overtime should’ve been #1. That was heartbreaking as a Bulls fan…

  52. miles says:

how about D fish’s shot to send the game to ot in game four of the finals
and then the shot in the overtime as well
