Update: Hedo Turkoglu going to Toronto, not Portland
Earlier today, multiple media outlets reported that Hedo Turkoglu had reached an agreement with the Blazers on a five-year, $50 million.
Turns out, according to the Toronto Globe & Mail, while Hedo was actually in Portland on a visit with the Blazers, he changed his mind and decided to go with the Raptors. The Toronto deal is reported to be worth around $56-60 million for five years.

Good luck in Canada hedo, where the weather is nothing like Orlando. Portland would have been better fit but I guess $10 million makes a difference when he was offered $50 million by Portland. Hedo make sure you can feed your family!! LOL ala latrell sprewell.

I was disappointed to miss out on FA’s when Hedo or Ariza or others reportedly signed somewhere else. But now I’m not excited that he signed with the raptors. He is a bad signing for Toronto. Too much money for marginal player and cap space killer as pointed out above. I’m hoping that Bargs plays like a #1 pick should this year. If this i strue and Derozan plays decent bball like Courtney Lee did for Orlando as a rookie then Toronto will make a splash this season.

Anyone who thinks the Raptors should have signed Marion instead of Hedo is on crack. Marion was nice when he was super athletic but those days are gone and so is his game.
Hedo is a good fit in Toronto because he gives them a second ballhandler and playmaker.
Next move for Colangelo is trading Bosh.

Hey Raptor fans good luck with Hedo, I wasn’t too sure why we wanted him anyway when we have 11 small forwards on the Blazers anyway. But history shows, the Raps will stay below the level of true ballers since they seem to get rid/or loose the top notch players (ie Vince and TMAC). Bosh will be next, and you will have an all Euro team. Lot of krazy shots and L’s in the coming future…

So when one actually does sign, try to appreciate that the front office is tryin to make changes instead of sittin around with money burnin a hole in your pockets. Hedo was the top free agent and his game ain’t dependent on athleticism so he’ll be effective for the length of the contract.

It makes the Raps better and their offense should improve signigicantly. Finally someone they can give the ball to in the dying minutes. My only worry is the Raps lack of players with any type of defensive conscience and (of course) rebounding.
They still need some depth on the wings. Dahntay Jones would actually be a good pickup.

major fuck up. Turkoglu is tthe exact same player as bargnani, just slower, and cant rebound either. Its bad enough They have andrea, shoulda just added a decent pg to back up or even start cause i have a feeling this is as good as calderon will ever get…and it aint good enough.
