We Reminisce: 2001 All-Star Game
Perhaps in conjunction with MLB’s All-Star Game being played tonight, NBA TV re-ran a bunch of old All-Star Games all day. One of my favorites is still the ‘01 version, when Allen Iverson and Stephon Marbury led an East comeback and A.I. got the MVP after scoring 15 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter. Check for cameos by Anthony Mason, Sprewell, Kobe’s ‘fro, Vlade and GP.

6-11 David Andersen
Dude looks like he might be ok.
Best thing is dude was acquired without giving up Tracy or any other player. Sent that cash over to the Hawks and got the rights. Thanks Atl.

NBA TV rebroadcasted the 2003 NBA All-Star game yesterday; one in which the West won in double OT and KG scored 37 points and won the MVP.
I was looking at the squad for both coasts and it was stacked with current stars and “has beens.” Some of the current stars were Kobe, KG, Duncan, Pierce, AI, etc. and the has beens were Carter, Stevie Franchise, Marbury, Gary Payton etc.
Jordan played in that game too…it was nice to see MJ again in uni

@ DUKESMAN2000
HOW CAN U PUT VINCE CARTER IN THAT CATEGORY OF STEVE FRANCIS, MARBURY, AND GARY PAYTON….HE HAS BEEN A PROLIFIC SCORER IN THIS LEAGUE SINCE HE ENTERED BACK IN 1998-99 (ROOKIE OF THE YEAR BY WAY), AND HASNT AVERAGED LOWER THAN 20 PPG SINCE HIS ROOKIE CAMPAIGN.HIS CAREER AVERAGE IS 23.4 HIGHER THAN (KG,PIERCE,DUNCAN,)..AND HE MUST BE SOME HAS BEEN FOR LAST YEAR’S EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM TO MAKE A TRADE TO GET HIM…ITS SAD THAT NO ONE RECOGNIZES THE CALIBER PLAYER HE HAS BEEN IN HIS STINT IN NEW JERSEY…HE BROKE NEW JERSEY’S SINGLE SEASON SCORING RECORD HELD BY THE GREAT DR. J FOR GODSAKES..I JUST CANT WAIT FOR NEXT SEASON TO START, VINCE CARTER’S CONSISTENCY WILL CRUSH ALL THESE HATERS OUT THERE..PEACE
