We Reminisce: Duke vs. Carolina
After watching this, I wanted to call the NCAA compliance office and see if I’m still eligible to play college ball. If I dedicated a solid year to training, got on some mask-able PEDs and begged Roy Williams for a walk-on spot, it’d be worth it to be a part of this:

Can’t watch the video because i’m at work, but being a diehard UNC fan (thanks to MJ), I would like to say
“I HATE Puke…uh i mean duke with a passion. Nothing stung in my side worse than the bulls drafting Elton “Mr. 20-10 for the opposing PF too” Brand over Lamar Odom and Franchise. Then to one more punch to the Kajonas when we picked Jay Williams over Amare Stoudimire.

Great Video. Always loved their rival games. I swear it was like watching Rival Schools for Playstation 1.
Anyways
I’m a St. John’s fan and their runs in the mid to late 90’s in NCAA were great. Felipe Lopez, Zendon Hamilton, Ron Artest, Tarik Turner, Charles Minlend etc. Those dudes could ball!!! I forgot the exact team but I remember Ron-Ron being ultra clutch for a freshman/soph in NCAA tournament!

As a graduate from UNC I have seen the last 5 UNC-Duke games at the Dean Dome. I was there for Marvin’s put back in 05 (in fact I was right behind the basket), I was there for Gerald Henderson’s elbow on Tyler and I was there for Tyler’s senior speech. It is the greatest rivalry in sports behind only the Yankees-Red Sox. It is impossible to describe the atmosphere and the emotion at these games. In 2005 (my freshmen year) the stadium erupted after Marvin’s shot. It was so loud you actually could only hear silence. ESPN said early this year that the Louisville-Kentucky and Purdue-Michigan State rivalry were going to be bigger than the Tobacco Road Rivalry. Neither rivalry has the history and the passion behind it. No matter the talent level Duke-Carolina will always be the best rivalry games in college sports.

I’m a Duke undergrad now and I’m sure there are plenty of Duke haters that will post on here, but we can all agree this is the BEST rivalry in college sports. The triangle transforms when it time for Duke Carolina to get busy…quality video.

In the US…Go to Greece or Turkey, watch some games (or ask Childress), and then post a comment!
