This is still hilarious.

abpin says:
Of course he clanks the free throw.
David Robinson & Michael Jordan got me into basketball back in 1990. It hurts to see this.
July 17th, 2009 at 10:31 am
Gnasche says:
Shaq got up for that one. All the best shot blockers get posterized. Sometimes the other guy goes after it harder than you expect. Just ask Dream.

Ian says:
abpin the admiral got me into basketball also fav player everrr now on this play shit happens.

nice to see people are fans of D Rob. He got me into it to. Just a complete class act and amazing player. My favorite player of all time.

Isn’t this the 1996 game in San Antonio?

Spliff 2 My Lou says:
Those were the days. You don’t see players try to block dunks in all-star games anymore. Now they just move out of the way.

K Dizzle says:
The game is in San Antonio. Hometown boy vs hometown hero. And Shaq hated Robinson so that shit was personal. The boos got started quick after that mash up…Shoulda signed the autograph, Dave lol

Gerard says:
David Robinson was the reason for me too y’all. I used to live in San Antonio when I was little, first game I ever saw live was Spurs-Kings with Mitch Richmond. Those were the days. Don’t forget, this man dropped over 70 points in a single game (against the Clippers).
July 17th, 2009 at 12:42 pm
Ian says:
yeah iso weird thing happened in that series the man with the better team won pleasee i can youtube some highlights also of dave doing shit to shaq and hakeem also. sorry you now how the admiral talks affect me lol.
July 17th, 2009 at 1:39 pm
NL says:
David Robinson was the reason for me, too, and I live otuside of Philly. I know he got posterized but not many players are going to attempt to block a Shaq dunk.
July 17th, 2009 at 1:58 pm
abpin says:
a lotta love for the admiral in here, Dime… how bout doin a feature or something on this guy? 70 points, check. quadruple double, check. championships, check. h.o.f, check.
July 17th, 2009 at 2:17 pm
isotope says:
lol @ ian. I understand. I’m just mad cuz that Barkley trade to Houston pretty much killed the Rockets franchise. So we rox fans gotta live in the past:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW4uXlRGAF0
gotta love this quote at the end
“i don’t know how i can tell you this with a straight face, but i believe i played good defense on him”.
I’m not going to lie and say David Robinson wasnt a beast. Of the centers I’ve actually seen play, he’s definitely top 3. And definitely was a great guy who came to play hard everday.

THE ADMIRAL GOT SIRRED!!! HOMETOWN CROWNIN!!!
like a wise man said………
THROW IT DOWN BIG MAN(SHAQ-A-WOCKEE!!!!!!!!!!)
July 17th, 2009 at 3:00 pm
Ian says:
iso well at least your team put a decent squad around your man and he delivered.
dave got his prime cut short by a back injury (cant really complain we got duncan) caused by carryin scrubs like del negro to the playoffs but he still managed to win every single damn award in the nba in like 7 years so again cant complain.
i dont understand the hate he gets from some people because of one series you are a rockets fan and still appreciate his game. i was talking to a knicks fan the other day and he told me he rather have zo or ewing over the admiral can you believe that shit. best part was when he said that ewing was way better defensively.
its like i told you back in arguing days with you i rank hakeem higher on my alltime list because he won being the man but if you like at everything they both did the careers are very much alike.

iso hakeem went 12-30 vs the admiral alltime.
July 17th, 2009 at 4:11 pm
isotope says:
like some1 posted on there, thats just regular season. And Hakeem actually averaged more points than DRob head to head in that comparison.
Yeah Ewing shouldnt even be in the conversation. People just bring him up because he was in the East and there werent a lot of HOF centers during his time. Oh wait, there was Rik Smits and Bill Cartwright. lol. Once Shaq came to Orlando everybody forgot about Ewing.
July 17th, 2009 at 4:12 pm
"Big Hook" Nunez says:
I think this is the same year Shaq mouth off to George Karl, so George ordered a triple team of Shaq with Robinson, Dream and Mutumbo. And Shaq got so upset because he got shut down cuz zone defenses were legal back in the All-Star game.
Didn’t Shaq dunk on Robinson and Duncan at the same time once, let they were both trying to block him and he went right over both of them.
July 17th, 2009 at 4:18 pm
Ian says:
iso yeah he avg 2 more points but he took 6 more shots and shot 45%
and the playoffs i think they only played once.
totally agree on your ewing comment
July 17th, 2009 at 4:23 pm
"Big Hook" Nunez says:
head to head don’t mean anything, Kobe’s Lakers are 4-2 vs. Duncan’s Spurs in the playoffs, now does that mean Kobe is better than Duncan? No Duncan is still ranked higher all-time and the best player the last 10 years.
July 17th, 2009 at 5:32 pm
Ian says:
we are comparing to very similar player in robinson and hakeem. why doesnt head to head mean anything most people that dont know shit about basketball use the 95 series to say one is so much better than the other and that the dream owned robinson. this stats and wins show that its all bs. both are mvps , champs , defensive player of the year , robinson has a scoring title and a rookie of the year , both have the same careet avgs. so if head to head doesnt mean shit in this case why is hakeem so much better?? the 95 series?? thats being a bit selective dont you think.
btw you said kobes lakers im sorry but kobes lakers are 1-0 vs the spurs in the playoffs you meant shaq lakers right?
July 17th, 2009 at 5:33 pm
Ian says:
sorry spell check
to meant two
and
this stats meant these stats

Buffalo Brave says:
Gotta give a shout out to David Robinson for CHALLENGING THE SHOT!!!!
Remember when guys used to TRY on defense?
He was a GREAT player, one of my favorites growing up.
July 18th, 2009 at 1:21 am
SA! says:
He would miss the free throw. hahahahah
July 18th, 2009 at 10:13 am
OC says:
Mr. Robinson is still the man here in SA. He is respected so much in the community. He is the blue print of how the Spurs conducts business today. People can talk crap all they want, David is a class act.
I still remember David running the floor on NY and cramming a lefty one hander on Ewing. Good times, good times.
