Big fan of this kid, hope he stays healthy.

To the above post: his kid is nothing like Eddie Curry, you can see the pain of sitting on the bench in street clothes. I think he finall stays helathy provided he lost the excess weight

To those who say Oden doesn't love the game you're probably a fan of another team and don't follow the Blazers or their players. It's quiet the opposite.

As some beat writers have said. A guy like Bynum is a guy who tall guy that happens to play basketball. Greg Oden is a basketball player that happens to be a 7 foot beast.

Greg Oden would be playing basketball if he was 6 feet tall. Bynum wouldn't.

So you are so wrong about it when you say Greg Oden is eddie curry. Greg lead Ohio State to the NCAA finals his first year in college. Has an AAU record of like 800 wins and 20 losses.

He hates losing. Greg Oden is a winner all the way, with his attitude, and work ethic. On the court or off the court you can't go wrong with the guy.

He doesn't have to love it...no has to love their job, but when you are passionate about your profession you truely become great at it.

Derrick Coleman was a great talent, but didn't have a great passion for the game...Some would say he under achieved.

I guess it depends on how you look at the game. If it is just a job cool, but we all wouldn't be on this site are routing for teams if it was just a job right?

How many of us are paying attention to Vanguard vs Fedelity vs Charles Schwab vs BlackRock?

How many of us are paying attention to the battle for government contracts in their respective cities?

How many people are keeping tabs on the competition for National Teacher of the Year award?

If it is just a job it becomes a lot less entertaining, but if it is a game with athletes that work hard and have a passion for winning it is a lot easier to get behind a team and root for success...

This is sport's fandom 101...

Look like you care at least even if you don't love it...people pay for at least that much...
