Earlier this week, Sports Illustrated ran a poll with a bunch of NBA scouts for their season’s predictions. Not surprisingly, the scouts had the Lakers and Spurs at the top of the Western Conference, but what struck me as interesting is they had the Jazz fourth behind the Blazers. It might be just the preseason, but the vibe inside the Boston Celtics’ visitor locker room in Madison Square Garden last night felt like a regular season game. KG’s demeanor was intense as he paced back and forth throughout the locker room. Marquis Daniels and Eddie House had their eyes fixated on the television set, watching game tape from the last Knicks/Celtics match. If you remember one name this season in college basketball, it should be Keion Bell. We first introduced you to the Pepperdine sophomore this summer after he won the Slam Dunk Contest at the Kobe Basketball Academy. This past Friday at Pepperdine’s Blue & Orange Madness, Bell won the slam dunk contest for the second year in a row. Last year when he won the event, he jumped over three people, but this year he decided to jump over five.
