The Fall Of The Texas Triangle

Texas

It’s kind of odd that the once-dreaded Texas Triangle seems overlooked these days, and for good reason. The Rockets’ quick fall from grace (with key losses in Yao Ming and Ron Artest) now leaves them for perhaps an 7th seed at best, and that’s just because they still have most of last year’s team. Larriques Cunningham Needs To Join Team Flight Brothers

The best highlight of the week comes out of Lee University, a small NAIA school in Tennessee. At their recent annual season tip-off event, the team put on a little dunking exhibition for their fans. Junior forward, Larriques Cunningham stole the show with one of the dirtiest jams I’ve seen in a long time. The 6-5 Franklin, GA native took off just inside the free-throw line and caught a bounce lob from a teammate with one hand, cocked it back and sailed in for a dunk.

Top 10 Fantasy Small Forwards In 2009-10

LeBron James

We’ve looked at the top 10 fantasy point guards and shooting guards this week already and now we’re moving on to look at the projected top 10 fantasy small forwards for the 2009-10 season. As always, your comments are very welcome here so don’t shy away from voicing your opinions.

1. LeBron James: The King needs little explanation here. Though his scoring and rebounding declined last season, James improved on his turnovers and free-throw shooting, two areas that were seen as his weaknesses. Expect a hungry, bitter James to furiously put up nasty lines on a nightly basis as he seeks redemption after last year’s disappointing early exit from the playoffs. Read More »

Top 5 College Coaches of All-Time

John Wooden

It’s hard to believe that John Wooden turns 99 today. The former UCLA coach is legendary for leading the Bruins to an amazing 10 NCAA championships in 12 years during the ’60s and ’70s. The Wizard of Westwood, who still attends UCLA games, plans to make it to 100. Read More »

Chris Bosh Is A Cyber Erin Brockovich

Chris Bosh

While many people knew that Chris Bosh championed life online, very few knew that he was such a cyber activist. In a landmark legal case, the Raptors forward has won custody of nearly 800 domain names wrongfully appropriated from guys like Steve Nash, Carmelo Anthony and Deron Williams. But rather than try and sell these names on his own, Bosh is offering to return the domains for free to their rightful owners. Read More »

Darko Milicic: Where Amazing Happens

In last night’s Sixers/Knicks game, there were only two times the entire game where the crowd erupted in cheers. One of them being when Larry Hughes was subbed out of the game, the other was when Darko Milicic got this fast break dunk.
