Behind The Scenes With Brandon Jennings
There’s not player hotter in the NBA right now than Brandon Jennings. Averaging 24.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game, while shooting 48% from the floor and a ridiculous 56% from beyond the arc, Jennings is not only putting up unbelievable stats but the Bucks are also 6-3 and the No. 4 team in the East. Check out this video that the League put together on Young Money’s NBA journey.

D.H. says:
Ok, so you’re the number 1 ranked high school player a year earlier, you go to Europe and work your ass off against grown men, you come back older and wiser and you’re the number 10 pick???
I think the guy in the video said it best, “well that number 10 pick worked out pretty good fellas”.

Awesome. Young Money is killing it right now, with his work ethic there is no reason to think he wont keep improving. Somewhat worried about him hitting the rookie wall.

J HUSTLE says:
i think he lit up the warriors with a chip on his shoulder and it was more personal than ppl realize. Don’t 4get he is from compton and if golden state would have drafted him he couldv’e played for his city in front of his family and peers. maybe its just a theory on my part but i really think he took it personal that the warriors passed on him in the draft. not to mention the knicks too but he really went at golden state like he had more to prove that night. Ill be watchin this kid for years to come and he is most definitely ready to shine. And just think, Dime and other ppl on this site were arguing that ricky rubio was better than jennings lol

Octopus Jonny says:
@9, his city isn’t in NorCal, though. Compton=SoCal.
As a lifelong Bucks fan, all praises to the basketball gods for The Savior, Brandon Jennings.
This kid is going to save basketball for the city of Milwaukee.
Before Young Money/Buck, we were lookin at the Las Vegas Bucks in 3 years.

I’m loving it. Do you think Minny is still happy having drafted Rubio? NYK for that matter also

Taj says:
I’ve been arguing with my boy for days about Jennings being an Allstar this year. I know its early but I think his numbers deserve it. Does anyone else agree?? Who else in the East besides DWade is playing better at guard?
Definately the ROY to this point, Blake has some work to do when he gets back!

I’m so happy to see BJ having success early in his nba career; I first saw him play in the mcdonald’s allstar game w/ the fresh prince high top fade and have been one of his biggest fans ever since

Wolves fan says:
So if rubio’s stats and play were better in europe, how do you justify saying jennings would be better in the nba then blonde ricky
November 19th, 2009 at 10:19 pm
gnh86 says:
Because Europe is a different game. Most of the guys with the best stats would be scrubs in the NBA.

Troni says:
cuz jennings got no burn, while Rubio is one of the stars on his team. They may be good, but his team is pretty stacked. That and the fact you can compare him and adam morrison on athletic ability, you may have a problem.

QQ says:
Favorite player on the NBA right now that’s not on my squad. Good to see how certain people react to stuff like being drafted lower than expected. Some cats will use that as an excuse to be self-conscious about their game and play to a lower level. But Jennings, damn, proved all the doubters wrong, ya heard.

QQ says:
Okay bout the talk on the top guards in the East:
1. Wade
2. Joe Johnson
3. Jennings
Why Johnson? His team is atop the conference. Period.

Soopa says:
How about some credit to Scott Skiles? He is notoriously hard on rookies and has a history of assigning them to keeping the bench warm for the first 6 months of the season.
But this time he is letting the rook play. That has to been a sign of how well young money knows the game and how hard he works in practise. You know Skiles isnt gonna take any half ass efforts.
Semi off-topic:
Did you know the Bucks are the best rebounding team in the league at the moment? Again credit to Skiles for making players commit to defence and play as hard as they can.
Im really enjoying watching this Bucks team!

RP FROM SURREY says:
BRANDON JENNINGS IS THAT DUDE!!!
what this kid did is amazing. you have to understand that this kid went from highschool, straight to the euro pros aka (got paid mills).
he has his own shoe deal which is unheard of out of highschool. there isnt a rookie in the league right now that has that. sooner or later nike will probably offer him MILL’s. its only right for him to be in MILLwaukee.

Jennings is so overrated !!!!
He played in Roma last year and was lost on the ground !!
4 pts 1 Dime !!
Milwaukee is so weak that the coach decide to let Jennings dot what it want !
Jennings wouldn’t have score like that in europe !
You know why ?????
DEFENSE
NBA still with no D

Pet Society Help says:
Still a long way to go, it was just one game, although good press as a rookie never hurts. We gotta remember that he is a point guard first and to not expect him to score like this all the time if the bucks wanna contend.
