Gallinari doesn't have the ceiling of Nowitzki. That's crazy. For one, Dirk is just significantly bigger, he has inches of height, a much bigger frame and a bigger wingspan. Nowitzki can make it as a power forward or center and Gallinari can't. That positional difference is huge because Nowitzki's all around offensive diversity plays up more against big guys. He's also a much more fluid mover than Gallinari is. I know Nowitzki's not a great athletes as far as the measurables are concerned but he moves like an athlete, he has great coordination, he's fluid, when he drives the ball is on his hip, his knees rise up, he looks like an athlete.

The thing that holds me back about Gallinari is that he has zero quickness. When he tries to run in the open court, he has no burst. When he tries to dribble and get by his man, he has no first, second or third step. He's a spot up shooter with limited ability to create his own shot--that's a role player.

When are Darko and Eddy Curry going to run the court together, has it already happened and I missed it?

He'll never warrant his draft status along w/ Douglas,Hill,Chandler. Our scout dept is as good as the caveman commercials now. In PHO it was more Nash & Amare than anything as noticed lately. This whole mess started with the courting of Chris Duhon to save the day. LMAO. Go Dukeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

@ Heckler: Mike D'antoni had look on his face late in last night's game like he'd like to escape to Italy right now with Gallinari!

You should show a Knicks blooper reel from last night:

2nd half alone;

 -- Harrington flubbing wide open layup.

 -- Jeffries mishandling pass to him on like 3 on 1 break.

 -- Gallinari getting his layup spiked to the peanut man by Horford.

Damn, I felt sorry for the Knick fans that had to sit through that second half!

knicks still suck and so does this italian bum.
lets face it, bitchass galo is d'antonis pet project. NO WAY the knicks had his bum ass on their radar going into the draft.

the knicks (ie donnie walsh) gave mike d'antoni TOO much control of the team when he let mike draft gallinari. and he only drafted him due to nepitism. mike d'antoni and gallinaris father were teammates in italy.

when you make (LOTTERY) draft decisions based on bullshit logic like that, you're doomed to fail.

the knicks should cut their losses right now and FIRE mike d'antoni and anyone else he's brought in to the team ie..danilo gallinari.

he aint nor Bargs; and he aint no Dirk. get that shit clear from the jump now. he'll have a season in 2yrs where he might average 16pts a game with a few 25+pt games for that season, but that Ny folks, will be his peek.

send his punk ass back over to italy

I went to the game last night and would say Tony Douglas was a positive and Lee's rebounding. As soon as Lee picked up his 4th foul and got benched the Knicks sucked. Why is it that Lee is the only Knick to rebound? And it seems like Larry Hughes has finally bought into a "team" concept, too bad his teammates are quitters and lack heart. I never thought that I would see the day where I'm complimenting Larry Hughes either. Seriously, can we just bring Chris Childs & LJ back?

I think this guy's ceiling is Dirk's level. He's going through some growing pains in the season now but this is essentially his rookie campaign and big men like him take some time to develop (see both Dirk and Bargnani). He'll make his doubters eat their words in a couple years.
