Manu Ginobili Catches Bat With His Bare Hands
In case you missed it over the weekend, on Halloween night, the Kings played in San Antonio. The game was momentarily stopped because a bat (Seriously. On Halloween.) was flying onto the court. The problem was solved when Manu Ginobili smacked the bat out of mid-air and picked it up and carried it off the court. He got some hand sanitizer and went back to playing.

Hilarious… and i agree with the PETA comment. I hate the Spurs (Im a Rockets fan) but Manu is good in my book with the exception of his flopping antics.

I don’t know why people are saying PETA should be after Manu…hell, some FANS came on the court in Detroit and got flying dragon punches for their trouble. A bat is lucky to get flop-smacked by a bitch instead of being beat down by a real man.
I’m still surprised Manu didn’t flop when he touched it. Hell, I’m surprised the flapping of the wings by the bat didn’t create enough of a draft to make him flop on the ground.

ya, if they bite you, you can get rabies … he knocked that bat out cold. did you see it hit the court. haha. its not like he licked it. but, ya, they are hard to catch. i once spent hours as a kid trying to hit em with a wrist rocket. satill nearly impossible. haha.

colton, i grew up in the garden ridge area, just outside san antonio. there is a place about 5 miles from my house called the bat cave, it houses like 20,000,000 bats. we used to o out on the deck off our second floor with fishing poles, with a small weight tied at the end of the line and you could cast the line up and the bats would come grab it. about half the time you could reel them all the way in, the rest would let go pretty fast.
the nice thing, i cant remember ever having a mosquito problem.

That wasn’t a bat, it was what Manu uses to cover his bald spot off the court, but he forgot close his locker, so it flew away. Hence the reason he had no problem handling the thing.
