You’re the second Cali dude today to hit me up about UCLA. My dude, Brian from HAX in L.A, texted me wondering where both UCLA and USC were in my rankings. I’m not gonna lie, UCLA was close to cracking the top 25. They’ve had excellent recruiting classes the past two years and are loaded with talent. The problem is that none of those guys got much burn last year so no one really knows what to expect. They’re a sleeper for sure.

I don’t think UW belongs in the top ten, but I definitely thing they belong ahead of Duke. I also think UW will be better than Cal this season even though everyone, their mom, their dog and their left nut are picking Cal to take the Pac-10 crown.

And UCLA? Why did someone even bring them up? I mean…I see the history…I see the tradition but try naming their starting five without looking anything up and without being an alum.

Not a Tennesee fan but I’m glad someone finally gave them some props! Hopson is in for a breakout year and wanna be AI (Maze) is their X-factor.

If Cal is the shining star of the conference as Matty D is calling them then UCLA is not in the top 5. The top 5 are probably Mich State, UNC, Villanova, Kansas and Texas (in no particular order).
