Ron Artest Throws Trevor Ariza’s Shoe

Think there’s any beef between Ron Artest and Trevor Ariza? While the Rockets were in town last night, Ariza lost his shoe and rather than leaving it in its place, Artest grabbed it and threw it off the floor. You can see Trev just standing there, wondering what just happened. Think he was jealous that Ariza got his ring before the game?

    Artest will just say that he was keeping the playing surface clean/safe, but…that’s not how it looked to me. Funny. Especially since the 82-0 Lakers lost. Errr, the 79-3 Lakers. They’re the best 5 seed in basketball.

    out to be delay of game? idiotic announcer.

  3. nola says:

    ought*********

  4. dagwaller says:

    Honestly, who throws a shoe?

  5. Steve A says:

    Best part of this is:
    That Ron Ron ends up canning a 3 or Ariza’s reaction when he gets his shoe tossed at the end of the replay.

  6. kg fan says:

    bush league, but still hella funny

  7. tahir says:

    uMmMm… what is this the laker losing day parade? even though the laker lost we still got people talking smack…

  8. control says:

    Too bad the pres wasn’t in the crowd…then Ron could get sent to Gitmo for a nice vacation…

  9. Aron Phillips says:

    @dagwaller

    Great Austin Powers reference.

  10. dagwaller says:

    AP – I was hoping someone would get that.

    tahir – ha sorry, I’m a fan of the Bulls, so whenever the best looking team in the preseason gets hyped up, I get defensive.

    The real story should be the Kings at the 7 seed and the Thunder at the 8 (sorry Austin) over the Jazz and Spurs.

    PS, did anyone really think that the Hornets would be a threat this season? It’s early, but…it’s ugly.

  11. Kudabeen says:

    @dagwaller

    Ask Bush who throws a shoe…

    I don’t mind the move. It is all apart of it. If we aren’t going to cry about grabbing of jerseys, hip checks, and the walking up to the freethrow shooter to talk trash, then don’t cry about Artest lightly tossing a shoe. Act like he launched it into the crowd.

  12. justlovethegame says:

    lol @ Ariza’s reaction

  13. jackass says:

    Think he was jealous that Ariza got his ring before the game????

    r u serious dime??? you sound like an idiot asking this question. seriously man…

  14. Dr.Googles says:

    Looked like ariza was gonna clock ron ron

  15. That's whats up says:

    If the shoe fits, wear it.
    If it doesn’t fit, throw it fifteen feet behind you and disrespect the dude who took your place

  16. Aron Phillips says:

    @jackass

    Haha. Wasn’t meant to be a question. Don’t know why I bolded it. Of course he was jealous!

    @That’s whats up
    Hilarious!

  17. SWAT says:

    @ DAGWALLER…lmao!!
    boy and to think i almost copped an artest jersey last year whn he played for my boys…heres to ron killing his team and any chance of repeating. then he wonders why people think dude is nuts. and ariza’s reaction was hilarious.
    @kudabeen its not tht artest tossed it into the crowds or anything like tht-we are trippin bcuz he tossed it at all and tht fact tht he tossed it away from ariza and off the court. you think its not a big deal…do tht shit at the park at let me know how tht turns out. you will def get yo ass black taco’d out there!

  18. hadoken says:

    why did ron throw his show? bc fuck him that’s why. haha

    @dr googles
    ariza wishes he had the balls to clock ron ron

  19. MissChick says:

    That’s a veteran move. He should have thrown it into the upper stands however

  20. JH says:

    Aint nothing wrong with what Ron Ron did…that 3 on the next possesion though was filthy.

    And why are people talking seeds this early in the season? The PHX Suns will slow down & Sacramento will become irelevant. All while the Lakers get on a roll & the Spurs start to gel as a team. Lots of games to go.

  21. POPPI GEE says:

    You would think Ron wouldn’t throw anything considering he knows about things being thrown more than many.

    How crazy would it have been had Ron threw it in the stands and it hit a fan and they rush the court like he rush the stands lol.

    Enjoy LA Ron, enjoy it.

  22. Chaz says:

    I’m not a fan of Ron Ron but he just tossed the shoe off the court to get it out of the way. This headline makes it seem as though he heaved it into the balcony or something. Really not a big deal guys. lol Honestly. (Loved teh Austin Powers reference tho. lol)

  23. str8ganksta says:

    ain’t nothing wrong with what ron ron just did. you do anything it takes to win. that means keeping the surphace clean of your opponents shoes. and if you knock it back a few feet and give your team a few extra seconds of advantage, good for you. not all plays can be found in a play book.

  24. the cynic says:

    Artest is such a douche bag(in a funny way though), I still wish Ariza was with the Lakers; Artest doesn’t bring anything to the table the lakers didn’t already have except alcoholic craziness

  25. hahns says:

    i love how you can describe anything unorthodox as a “veteran move.”

    he pulled those guys shorts off as he was going up for a rebound – veteran move

    punched the guy in the balls while boxing out – veteran move

    throwing opponent’s shoe off the court – veteran move

  26. sans says:

    Hilarious–fuck yo shoe Ariza!

  27. Chocohazed says:

    LMAO! YES, Ron Ron!!!

  28. momo says:

    fuck that…its beyond me how a dude in the league can come on the court with his shoe loose enough for it to completely fall off…dude…ball shoes are made to fit tight as shit…it was dudes fault that it came off like butter…dude and his skinny ass ankles and chicken legs and shit…next dude was just doing what all of us would have liked to done in that situation, but know we aint have since we aint got the balls to throw dudes shoe out bounds

    dats my dude ferel…but next dude was just being real…how can you blame dude? ye smell me?

  29. Van says:

    I think people are making too much of this. Ron Artest is a “Champion” that had a few bumps. I am certain that he Ron didn’t mean anything by this.

    Ron Artest, now is the time to elevate your game to the “professional status” that you are most capable of playing. This is no time for any kind of distractive antics. I wish you a most successful season.

  30. Cp says:

    Throwing someones shoe off the court is a bitch move.
