When it comes to sneaker spots, you want a mixture between great product and excellent service. There’s nothing worse than walking in to a swanky boutique and having some dude in skinny jeans stare at you as if you don’t belong. That’s why Westlake Village’s Tradition has been my spot since they opened their doors in November of 2006. After featuring them in Dime #42, owners Andrew Kline and Jason Gaines have decided to expand further into the 805, opening their newest store on Main Street in Ventura.

The new Ventura store has a very industrial feel to it and features wood floors mixed with white walls and exposed bricks. This store is a welcomed change to the recently gentrified strip of Main Street that also houses an Urban Outfitters, American Apparel and Buffalo Exchange. Carriying a strong line-up of apparel brands such as Crooks & Castles, The Hundreds, Diamond Supply Co., Black Scale, 10.Deep, and Akomplice, Tradition also stocks footwear from Nike, Vans, Supra and The Hundreds.
