Being a Chicago kid, and watching those guys (specifically Arthur Agee) walk up and down the same streets i was on and playing at the same courts i played on, and actually playing for the same highschool coach I played for (Dennis Doyle was an assistant on that team) will always keep Hoop Dreams #1 for me.

I didn’t really enjoy the Sebastian Telfair thing, though. It just seemed so…. I don’t know. He’s not a likeable character thats all.

I have yet to see the Lebron movie.

As far as basketball documentaries go, Hoop Dreams is the G.O.A.T. & the blueprint. It not getting any nominations is still talked about by mainstream and niche outlets even to this day when Academy Award and other movie honor time comes around.

The Larry Bird documentary was good. I can still hear John Mellencamp singing “Small Town” in the background.

Anyway, cannot wait to watch “Winning Time”.
