One of the angles showed that he held the ball up like he was going to dunk it, Perkins( I think) put his long arms out, Jordan then (palming the ball in mid-air)moves the ball slightly to the right to avoid Perkins, then as his momentum carried him, he decided to switch hands last second. He probably could have still dunked it with the right, but no-one can deny the greatness of the move. I think what made it even more epic, was the fact that he has made 12 shots in a row. So the crowd was already in a frenzy, and 'the move' was like 'damn, everything he throwing up is going in!' The move wasn’t totally unnecessary.
