I honestly don’t know why people are all up on Jay-Z’s nuts all the damn time. His rhymes and flow are so wack compared to people like Lupe Fiasco or even some underground people like Deadfoundead.
Sure, he sells albums and has money, but so do the Jonas Brothers.

I could care less if Jay Z’s mouth stayed closed during the entire song (i.e. not sing at all). The video itself and the beat make up for it. So freakin weird but addictive. The weirdest part: that clown with those lips with a hoody rocking his head slowly from side to side, feeling the beat. Insane.

He has two bullets by the crucifix and trys to speed it up so you cant get a close look at it around 3:39 mark. Jay Z is serving the devil. Also in empire state of mind he says life begins when the church ends.

^^^^THIS!!!!!
people dont even realize the messages in music. Do you not see the baphomet image that flashes for half a second in the video????? the flaming dice exposing 6-6-6. Have you seen how much Jay Z flashes hints of being a freemason???? Listen. Ive been a Jay Z fan my WHOLE LIFE. this past weekend i was surfing the net lookin at new hip hop like i always do and i stumbled across some CRAZY shit that will blow your freakin mind if you look into it. the illuminati are real. Jay Z may not be a devil worshipper as i find this very extreme and hard to believe, but like grant^^^ said you cant deny the facts. Youtube Jay Z and illuminati and you will see all kinds of crazy shit proving that he AND rihanna and possibly other artist (Lady Gaga, Kudi, Kanye) are flashing illuminati signs and freemason signs all over the place. And its happening right in front of our face. Im not a revolutionists or radical or atheist or any crazy shit, im a kid who grew up lovin hip hop and basketball more than anything else but what i saw on the net made me feel crazy as hell. This music and media shit really is some devil vs god shit but nobody takes it as serious as they really should. O and my Mavs got shitted on last night but thats aight it was the 2nd night of a back to back lol

I’m so glad I could look at this with objective eyes.
Watched that link out of curiosity, and hey, who the F cares? Only the uneducated and unskeptical few will take this guy’s word as church. The symbols are sooooo vague. You could analyze any artist and speculate about their message and what that artist is trying to convey, but that is the point of art. If hova is taking cues from this organisation, he is no different than many other artists out there who are taking cues from religion or higher-learning. If he believes in a new age system, then at least he believes in evolution and the progress, which is more than can be said for most mainstream hip hop artists. If all this is true, then I love that Jay-Z is challenging the status quo, and I would celebrate that instead.
How can you fault people for wanting change? There is soooooooo much worse out there, sooooooo much worse. Take a look at some of the corporations and religions that dictate our actions. I think we are capable of better. I’m not saying that “better” is anything being sold by Jay or this other guy, but I think it is obvious we are capable of better.
Brainwashing? Ugh, what an ignorant ass.

i been a fan of jay z since reasonable doubt. but i dont live my life according to him. its music yall… pure entertainment. enjoy it or dont listen to it (watch it). thats like watching a wrestling match on tv or whatever believing all of that in which you see.
yea there are a lot of symbolisms in the video, but at the same time, doesnt he wear jesus pieces? how do you worship the devil wearing a jesus piece? that dont make no kind of sense.
i like the song cuz its about uplifting oneself from whatever negativity they’re goin thru. so i apply that to my life. as for him and what his religious beliefs are.. well thats on him and the man upstairs. charles barkley said it best when he said athletes are not role models. but i think that goes to any celebrity as well. knowledge is power and we as in ppl need to stop being brainwashed by media and educating ourselves.
