Jeff Green Wins Games By Dunking On People
How huge was this play for the Oklahoma City Thunder? Jeff Green’s dunk on Josh Smith was not only a SportsCenter worthy play, but it proved to be the biggest basket of the game. This basket, along with the free throw (Smith fouled him on the dunk), gave OKC the five point lead with just 12 seconds to go on the clock. The Thunder ended up winning the game 94-91.
This game was crucial for the up-and-coming Thunder, who are trying to make a push for the playoffs this season. Every game is important for Oklahoma City, who are 23-18 and are in a three-way tie with Utah and Houston for the final two playoff spots. Teams like Memphis (22-18) and New Orleans (21-19) are just a game or two away from sneaking into the playoff picture themselves.

Damn nice play by Green.
@ Chaos: J.Smoove certainly isn’t the next mbenga–he’s closer to the next Mutombo (even the premier shot blockers get crammed on occasionally).
OKC has a real nice young team. They’ve progressed much faster than the Hawks–and, at this stage, looked to me yesterday afternoon to be on par with Hawks talent-wise.
Thunder will nab one of those 8 spots in the West this year.

Yeah this wasn’t one of the Hawks best games. We came out really lazy and didn’t want to contain KD until the 4th. The energy just wasn’t there that game hopefully we get it together because we can’t rely on Jamal 3’s at the buzzer to save us night in and night out.

GOT HIM!
Josh knew that was a viscious one too lol.
Dang Houston better step it up and do something with McGrady cause, these other squads are really playing and they gonna find themselves out of contention with strugglin against Minny and the Bucks.
Come on Rockets either give dude minutes or hurry up and get the trade done. Shhhhooot for the the 11 miraculous points Ariza put in on the last game, they most def should just give McGrady his minutes.
Sorry, rant mode. Anyway yea that was the illness. Green did it!

why doesnt a lot more players slash into the basket during crunch time situations and game winning last few seconds? is it because its less dramatic than a last second heave from outside? go to the basket and cram it!!!!!!!!!!!

Pet Society Help says:
OKC just need a decent center and they’ll be a contender, Ninid Kristic just isn’t the solution.
